The tour was wonderful, informative, and beautiful to take pictures of. The tour guide was very friendly, interactive, and humorous. Just wish we had more time to spend in Old San Juan but overall it was a great time!
Excellent tour. The tour guide was very knowledgable but it was kind of hard to hear him if you weren't sitting close. I wish we had gotten to Old San Juan a little earlier because most of the shops close at 6pm. I would recommend this tour.
Loved Loved Loved this tour! Our tour guide was once again Ricardo(Ricky) and he is awesome! Ricardo was extremely knowledgable of the island. We were given a history lesson of the island and he even told us about normal culture there. He is very very personable. We cannot say enough good about him! As far as the Bacaardi tour...Well you get some drinks! Yum Yum fresh rum! The tour could be a little better as you do not actually get to go into the process. All you do is here a story about the history and watch some tv screens on how the process works. the tour guide there was very good though. The factory was absolutely amazing and very neat to look at. Nice drive there! The Old San Juan tour was sooo cool! If you have time take a cab back another day and explore the city on your own as you can spend an entire day there just looking in shops, hitting El Morrow, walking the city wall, and eating and drinking! A cab is only about 14 bucks from the Isla verde area which is dirt cheap. You can also take the trolley there from just about everywhere. If you are into history check out the forts! Wayyyy cool!

What a great day. Our tour guide Cruz made the tour. He was informative, easy to talk to and made the tours over the top fun.The Tour of the Fort at Old San Juan was the best. The view from the fort over looking the sea was breathtaking . Take the tour you won't be disappointed.
The driver/tour guide drove us around but actually never got out of the van to point out landmarks. He dropped us off at Bacardi, where we went to the bacardi factory's own tour. Then he drove us to the fort and dropped us off. "Come back in 45 minutes." Then he drove us to Old San Juan. He said, "Walk around the block and be back in 30 minutes." I expected that he would walk with us and point out things or tell us interesting facts, but this did not happen. It was more like a van ride around, and not a guided tour.
Very rushed, I took the tour in the afternoon and the tour guide only gave us half an hour in old San Juan not enough time for lunch and sightseeing
We spent way too much time at the distillery and not enough in old San Juan. Our driver was friendly and courteous, but the time management was a problem for us.
The tour of the distillery could be left off this tour and it would actually be a better experience. You really don't see anything and the time could be better used exploring the centuries old fort and Old San Juan which is a tourist shopping area with a few good resturants.
I would give this tour five stars however it lacks time. Enjoyed the tour of the distillery and San Cristobal fort and Old San Juan but everything felt so rushed. We only had 45 minutes to tour San Cristobal and then only an hour to walk around Old San Juan. Though I have to say our guide Rocky was what made this tour great. He was very informative and made sure we were enjoying ourselves during our tour.
Most of the time spend at Bacardi distillery
Very little time actually devoted to Old San Juan tour
Would NOT recommend ANYONE take this tour unless you want lots of cheap free rum!
For the cost of this tour you can hire a taxi driver for the same price or less (especially if there is more than 1 of you!) and get the same results. The Old San Juan tour is nothing more than a drive to the fort which again, can be done more cheaply than paying for the tour. The Rum Distillery is free of charge so again, a taxi cab fare would accomplish the same goal more cheaply. Finally and most importantly-where you are staying matters. The description says "picks up from most San Juan hotels."; Check to see if your hotel is in "Old San Juan" or other locations outside of their "San Juan" list or you could find yourself paying an additional $40 RT for the taxi to take you to the pickup point!
