Kudo's to Paola our guide. Came out in unexpectedly cold weather and on time. Had a great day with her - just wasn't long enough!

Need to do some walking to get a better understanding of the city. Coffee with legs not to be missed. It was also good to look inside some interesting buildings.

A bit disappointed as we could not go into Santa Lucia Hill, it was not replaced with another area.

I'm sorry to say the quality of the offer was very poor and unlike the standard we received from other tours with Viator (see review for Private Walking Tour, Santiago like a Local) and other providers. Some of the items listed on the itinerary were not visited and some which we hadn't asked for were included. Such as the visit to the tourist shop where the driver and guide appeared to drink free coffee whilst we were shut on our own into a shop and were persuaded to buy things we had no wish to buy. The quality of the information provided was very limited and the driver told us that we were with a 'trainee' which turned out to be his son-in-law. We also thought that some of the commentary was quite 'political' and projected their own views about certain matters - maybe we're just too British. We thought we had paid for a professional and knowledgable tour guide and whilst he seemed a very nice chap unfortunately it was amateur at best. With the right coaching and training, he could be great. General appearance and the quality of the vehicle also needs to be reviewed in our opinion. We tried to make the best of it but didn't enjoy the experience.

(see review for Private Walking Tour, Santiago like a Local). Our tour guide was Gladys and she was excellent in every way. Can't recommend this half day tour with her enough - we wish all of our tours this week had been with Gladys, such was her knowledge of the subject matter, country and culture. She had excellent English, was and looked very professional and was fun - she joined in our English humour. Fascinating day, the best tour we did as it gives you a great introduction and background to the city and country you're in. If there's one thing you do in Santiago, do this tour. A very nice lady. Thank you Gladys - you're a credit to your employer.

Local took us for the tour. Interesting sites and facts about the city. Excellent lunch. Unfortunately, we were driven up to San Christobel Hill, but we had to pay to get down on the funicular. This was supposed to be part of the fees, so a little disappointing.

If you have limited time to see Santiago, this is a useful trip. Frankly, there is not much to see in Santiago, so three hours is enough. It will certainly highlight the options for return visits if something peaks your interest. Avoid Mondays, all museums are closed.

One huge downside is that Viator requires the purchase of 2 adult tickets, even if only one is travelling. This makes no sense if they wish to capture the travelling on business market.

The tour guide was extremely informative. Her knowledge on the history of the city gave us great overview. of its customs and history. I have already recommender it to my next door neighbour who is travelling to Santiago next month.

3 pm tour on March 17 2013. Awful. Guide barely spoke English. She did not understand any questions.

We had a wonderful tour guide, Richard Soto. He took us to all the sites a tourist would appreciate. His English is superb and his knowledge of Chilean history was very good. I am a knitter he found yarn shops for me. I asked him to take us to a "hole in the wall" restaurant....he granted my wish.

Tour was good but disappointed that almost an hour was lost collecting other passengers in a large coach - reviews i had read in advance said that the trip was in a mini bus - maximum 16 people
visit to craft shop was unnecessary as there were other opportunities to shop during our stay

There is not a lot to see in Santiago so having a good, interesting tour guide is very important. We had a great one who filled us in on all the history of Chile, good and bad.
