Tour was good but disappointed that almost an hour was lost collecting other passengers in a large coach - reviews i had read in advance said that the trip was in a mini bus - maximum 16 people
visit to craft shop was unnecessary as there were other opportunities to shop during our stay

There is not a lot to see in Santiago so having a good, interesting tour guide is very important. We had a great one who filled us in on all the history of Chile, good and bad.

On my South American trip I had an opportunity to work with 10-15 guides. This one was by far the most annoying, the least competent and didn't listen at all.

Very good tour. We had to cut the tour short because my husband had a medical incident that caused him to want to return to the hotel. But the guide was excellent and we were sorry to have to leave the tour early.

Absolutely loved this, I could sense my guide's love for the city. Was fascinating being told about Salvador Allende's history after reading about him in one of Isabel Allende's books, and the views, graffiti, military buildings and in fact entire tour were great. Fantastic guide, fluent English.

Doing what: El Morado Hiking Tour with Transport from Santiago
The weather was very hot at the time of our hike, thus, our review is affected by those conditions. The hike was NOT easy as advertised. It is long and at an intermediate level. I would recommend bringing a small backpack and filling it with water and snacks. However, I would do it again.

We did this on 11/24/12, and it was great. I highly recommend this for first-time travelers to Santiago. It is a great introduction to what the city has to offer.

Freddie was great! Explained everything as we traveled...and went out of his way to see that we were the ONLY GROUP allowed to step on the front of the Palace!!! A++++

Very well organized semi-private tour with an excellent guide. Had plenty of time to take pictures, learn abot the area. The guide was very detailed and ensured were safe onthe trail

The guide took us to Constitution Square and gave us what amounted to a party political broadcast,more in Spanish than English.
A brief history of facts was what we would have expected. I was disappointed in the tour.

Every expectation was met by the crew. Skiing was hard! But the tour was well worthwhile.

Awesome. Our tour guide, Paula, was fabulous. We learned about politics, the economy, the culture, the art, and all kinds of every dat things that were interesting to me. I would highly recommend the tour.
