Seattle Suggested Itineraries
By Viator, October 2013
Day 1: Seattle City Bus Tour
Hop on this double-decker bus and investigate the sites that interest you by choosing to hop-off whenever you please. The tour guide will narrate your trip and give you interesting local and historical information on the sights as you see them. Notable attractions include the Seattle Centre, which is home to Odyssey Maritime Discovery Centre, and Pioneer Square, where you can join the world-famous underground tour.
Day 2: Culture in Seattle
Enjoy Seattle’s most famous culinary landmark, the vibrant Pike Place Market. You’ll have the opportunity to see and taste a range of local produce and exciting dishes, while also picking up cooking tips and listening to entertaining anecdotes from the stall owners. The tour will also take you behind the scenes so that you can see the workings of the market. If you have time with the rest of your day, head to the San Juan island, just out of Seattle, which is famous as a great spot to watch whales because of the large amounts of salmon that travel up and down the west coast.
Day 3: Wine Tour from Seattle
Who says that Seattle is just famous for its coffee? This tour will give you the chance to sample the best of North America’s efforts in wine making, at both the Chateau Ste. Michelle and Columbia wineries. The trip will also take you through the beautiful single-track roads of the Snoqualmie Falls, showing you quaint rural farmlands and lush forests, not to mention The Arboretum, which is full of 40 foot rhododendrons.
