Picnic on the Han River
Besides being the most important river in South Korea, the Han (Hangang) River has well-groomed pedestrian and biking trails on either side as it passes through Seoul. On a warm day, bring a picnic lunch — perhaps some kimbap and kimchi — and spend the day basking in the sun.
National Folk Museum of Korea
For a good introduction into Korean culture and a look at what daily life was like for Korean families of yore, take advantage of the free admission to the National Folk Museum of Korea. The 150,000-piece collection includes fine art, Buddhist sculptures, archeological relics and life-size dioramas showing how people in Korea used to live.
