Given that I can only say Hello and Thank You in Chinese this tour was a life saver. I would never have gotten to these areas and seen what I did purely as you need to be able to read the signs and communicate with the locals if you get lost.
The tour in Suzhou in both gardens was very quick, unfortunately due to the pace I did not listen to the guide explaining the history as I was busy trying to get some photos….I am a photo nut. However I am very glad I have seen them.
The only thing I would change would be the length of time we spent at the Silk Factory, personally for me the time allowed to shop was too long but I am sure there are others that thought it was too short.
I would have loved to have spent more time at Zhouzhuang, especially as the sun was starting the sun and the light was almost perfect.
I was taking this tour on my own so it was very good for me I had a fabulous time.

A great trip in a comfortable minivan. It was very good although at times some of the ladies felt it was a little rushed but I would certainly recommend it to anybody.

Great day trip around Shanghai! Frank our tour guide was amazing with excellent knowledge of the local attractions. The Jade Buddha temple is excellent.

Amazing sites, but I could do without the tourist traps like the jewelry mart or souvenir shopping. Guide was very knowledge and his English was pretty good.

Doing what: Small-Group Walking Tour of Old Shanghai
we were lucky to have our walking trip on the day the moonfestival was celebrated, lots to do in peoples park. The rest of the walk was very interesting. our guide had great nowledge of the area.

Something to do in Shanghai - the evening tour was quite informative - but they tried to make us drive for 40 mins back to our hotel (in order to drop off another person). Instead we jumped out and got a taxi back to our hotel which cost about $4!

Tour guide was 15 minutes late picking me up, then we still drove around Shanghai picking up others before beginning the epic drive out to the actual trip. We spent as much or more time driving as we did in visiting these sites. Big disappointment. The sites were fascinating; however the water village is a giant tourist mecca and is now built for tourists and the gondola tour was a mere 20 minutes long, way too short.

Frank tried his best, however, the tour was sub-par - primarily because the small bus microphone was not working correctly - making his narrative difficult to hear and grating on nerves with the static, etc.
Suzhou was less than exciting but Zhouzhuang was a great experience. It would be good if Frank could have had a speaker system so that we could have heard his narrative while we were out in the village. The boat ride was a lot of fun.

My tour guide had exceptional knowledge of both areas. I was very fortunate to have received a private tour - I felt like a queen for the day! The driver was polite and courteous. The food was fine, pretty much what I expected from these types of tours. Without a doubt it would be great, if time allowed, to spend a full day per place as there appeared to be a lot to explore. Both areas are beautiful and well worth a visit!

The trip to the Water Village was a highlight of our trip to China. Something everyone should due. Transportation by van was smooth considering traffic. The tour guide was well informed.
Our visit to the silk factory and lunch was interesting even as we had seen another silk factory tour during our travels. A full day tour that wenr by quickly.

Rained all day but it did not stop our tour director in making a plesent day for us even under umbrellas.
