Plants and Health in Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden

With the recent opening of glasshouse exhibitions in January 2011, Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden has attracted lots of visitors during the Chinese New Year festival. It is fun to enjoy flowers and plants from all over the world. You can also experience four seasons in one day of visit. The glasshouse exhibition is the biggest of its type in Asia, collecting nearly 9,000 species.

For the Chinese New Year festival, the botanic garden has exhibited plants with Rabbit characters to match the new year of Rabbit. The orchid flowers associated with longevity and good luck also become a big favorite of visitors. Such cheerful plants have made the botanical garden No.1 one-day excursion destination for Shanghai citizens during the holiday. Many families have visited the botanic garden as an spring outing. Shanghai Chenshan Botanic Garden is located west of the city near SheShan resort, covering an area of 207 hectares.
