Viator were great. Their guides were friendly and knowledgeable, we were picked up on time and the communication was fantastic. A great experience!
Hop on hop off bus, excellent way to orientate to Singapore, and work out where to re-visit later.
We were given an extra day, and an additional tour. Well worth the $$'s
Our guide Joyce was an absolute comedian and got us all laughing in no time. Though she warned us the meal would be 'basic' we found it quite good though drinks were expensive - S$11 for a beer and S$6 for a soft drink. Apparently alcohol in Singapore is taxed heavily so they don't have a problem with drink driving and disorderly behaviour! We took the Singapore Sling option and even though my 79 year old mother doesn't drink she decided that she would try it as she probably wouldn't get back to Raffles anytime soon! We went to Bugis Street Market which seems to be the only place you can get bargains in Singapore - shopping is extremely expensive - and we brought some lovely handmade clothes and shoes. We enjoyed this tour very much.
Raffles, what can I say. This tour date was my 50th birthday so I wanted to celebrate it at Raffles having high tea. The whole tour was exceptional. So much history and a boat ride then High Tea. My son loved the Long Bar at Raffles. Were else could he eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. The tour guide was once again very knowledgeable regarding Raffles etc. I had a fantastic 50th birthday, thank you Viator, it was every thing I dreamed of.
I took the Hop-on Hop-off tours in 3 places: Singapore, London and Cardiff. This one was the last one of the 3 and surprisingly, the staff were rude and not accommodating at all.
Redeeming my prepaid voucher was a nightmare. Instead of being able to do so on the bus, I was told (when I boarded) that I had to make my own way to the Mall. Once there, I tried again to get on a bus and was told I had to redeem my voucher inside the mall.
There are plenty of buses and 3 different routes which cover the entire city. Buses run every 20 minutes or less, so you don't have to wait long.
The commentary is pre-recordered but set to a low volume and if you're on the upper deck, you cannot hear what's being said.
The shocker was when the tour circles around to Mall and we all had to get off whether we wanted to continue or not. When I asked if we had to get off, the driver said, "yes, you have to get off. That's why it's called a hop on/hop off bus." What??
If I had it to do again, I'd choose this same company because it seems to be the only one for sightseeing that covers as much of the city, but I would not expect it to be as nice as the ones in Cardiff and London run by the same company
If you're looking for a great way to see the highlights and have only a short time to see them then this is for you. We used this on our stop over from Australia back to the UK and got to see more than we could have done on foot. We also had time to hop off a couple of times to visit the places of most interest to us. Good value for money.
Excellent way to see the city if your time is limited. Lets you pick and choose the areas that you want to spend more time.
Bus was great but had to go to central office to pick up sticker (which was near the flyer)...hotel was in Suntec but couldn't get on there. Bus stops were not well marked, bus was great
good idea. But lackluster bus driver run over the stations, which are anyway already approached in a very long intervals. From 5.30P.M. it's over
Pick up and return good. Our guide Judy was great. Entire tour excellent. Would recommend it to all.
