Skiing in Spain
When you think of Spain, skiing doesn’t really come to mind, now does it? Well, it should. With ski resorts sprinkled around the country, chances are that, during winter, a snowy excursion is only a short drive away.

Pyrenees

The Pyrenees are undoubtedly the hottest (or make that coolest) spot to hit the slopes in Spain. Straddling the French border, they are a high-altitude playground for posh-types and committed ski enthusiasts. Even better: the nearest resort is only about a three-hour drive from Barcelona. And there are loads of resorts to choose from, too, spanning two of Spain’s border regions — Catalonia and Aragon — and even the tiny country of Andorra.
