Certainly worth the money, especially if you are going to use the trolley for three days. Presentation is very good, explaining the history and features of the area. Will save you money on parking as fees run about $1.50 per hour in most areas of the city. We did go during a very rainy time and the open air trolley is not particularly good for this. Do not miss the history museum which is part of the fee - very nicely done, although you do have to pass through the gift shop to get to it.
This was a really great tour. I've done hop-on-hop-off in other cities and really like this mode of seeing the main attractions in a city when I have limited time in the area. The "guides" were very knowledgeable and interesting. The three-day special was really appreciated.
excellent-what a way to get around when you don't know where you are going-loved learning the city's history and the conveniency of being able to get on and off when ever we wanted for 3 days @ one great price
I always enjoy visiting St. Augustine because of it's beauty and historical significance. The tour was great and the guides were truly informative. But, I have a problem with the way tickets are sold. I bought tickets online but when I read the signs at tickets booths, all the tours were bundles, designating which sights were packaged. I prefer picking my own sights and buying tickets separately but that's just me. Uninformed visitors might conclude that they had to buy a package instead of choosing their stops separately.
Enjoyed St. Augustine although we had been there before. Never had taken the Ghost tour and did so this trip and we and the other couple felt disappointed in the Ghost and treasures trip as well as thinking it was over priced. Everything else was enjoyable.
The tour was ok but if you actually wanted to see any of the attractions you had to pay some high prices. My wife andI took the tour- the trolly was really bumpy. The weather was dad as well.
Really learned about the history of St. Augustine. Did I forget it or was it never taught? Drivers knowledgeable and humorous. Flagler college tour was tops.
We thought it was money well spent. We covered a lot of ground and learned a GREAT deal of interesting history. We thought our driver could have done a better overview of Old Town St. Augustine; few left the trolley. For us it was a highlight of the tour --history, good food, shops. Don't miss it.
A really fun, easy going, laid back tour. We really had a good time.
Because we had only one day to spend in St. Augustine we felt the Trolley Tour would give us the best overview of this beautiful city. We did the entire tour first then started again -- prioritizing all the places we really wanted to see in the little time we had. It was wonderful! (and we definitely would love to come back!)
Using the trolley to go from the Motel to revisit everything we saw on the first day was very nice!
I wish it would run a longer schedule instead of closing with a 4:30 PM round trip.
I was delighted to hear that we could be picked up at our hotel and taken to the 'hub' as I was traveling with my 74 year old mom. Everyone was very professional, the driver was personable and knowledgeable. I was a bit surprised to hear the final trolley pick up was 4:30 - should be later.
Our guide gave us very very little history with no interesting asides. Also, the suspension in your vehicles is non-existent. It actually physically hurt to ride.
The tour was great but however, due to the time of our arrival, we only got to enjoy the tour of lights. We learned that Christma eve and Christmas day were NOT the time to go to St Augustine! Everything closed down at 3:00PM. Next time we will plan better.
