Amazing does not even begin to describe this tour. Our tour guide was Al and he knew every inch of the forest. He is what made the tour so awesome. He kept us informed the entire way of everything and most importantly got us up and back safely. We started out our hike with six people and my fiancé and I were the only ones that made it to the top. This is for experienced Hikers and people who are in good physical shape! Once you get towards the top you will have to climb steep terrain and rocks. We were able to make it to the top and back down in about 3 hours. It takes a good 25 minutes to get there if you are coming from the ship dock. Once you get to the top the views are breathtaking and Al gives you some local drink and raisin bread, which are quite tasty. If you book this tour ask for Al he is the best aka prince of the mountain, he has been climbing this mountain since he was 7 and knows every part of it. This was our favorite excursion that we have ever done on a cruise.

Our tour guide was fantastic. We had a group of 7 on our hike- 3 younger hikers, 4 older hikers. The guide did a great job making sure everyone could catch up and catch a break when they needed it. NOTE: we didn't have any cruise ship passengers on our hike- if we did, we would not have had this luxury, as they are more time-crunched.

The hike has some difficult parts, so I would suggest being in good shape beforehand. I am pretty active and I found it strenuous but not a killer. The views at the top are definitely worth it!

Went on a boat instead, tour company was nice enough to switch and recommend when our tour did not have enough people signed up.

The train itself was comfortable.. open air up top and allegedly air conditioned on lower level (not in OUR car). Toilet onboard was disgusting -- worse than outhouse. Staff, however, were terrific. "Sites" consisted of 3 bridges, concrete quarry, school kids waving and a beach view here and there.

This tour was nice. The railway is a nice way to see a lot of the island without driving.
