Doing what: St Lucia Bike and Hike Half-Day Tour from the North Island
We enjoyed the bike ride and are glad we did it. Although you are in a Rainforest, it doesn't necessarily feel that way. You are riding on a road rather than a trail. The last 10 minutes was on a trail that made you feel like you were in a rainforest. This is not for novice bike riders. There are two hills, one most everyone pushed their bikes up. I put my bike in the lowest gear and made it up the hill, but I have ridden mountain bikes for years. The bikes were not in very good condition. Within 5 minutes the chain came off my bike. Someone else had a wheel issue. My wife had issues with her gears. The waterfall was a bust. There hadn't been any rain for a week and the waterfall was non-existent, just a very small trickle of water. The guide was great. He stopped several times to talk about the various trees and plants. He opened a coconut and let us sample it. Overall a good tour.

Doing what: St Lucia Shore Excursion: Catamaran Day Sail
We were disappointed to be told after the boat had left the dock that the sails were down and we would be motoring all day. If we had known that, we would have cancelled - we booked this tour because we wanted to sail! Also, your representatives forgot to meet us when our cruise ship docked and almost left without us. The catamaran was nice, but we found the constant games and loud music a bit annoying after several hours.

Doing what: St Lucia Bike and Hike Half-Day Tour from the North Island
The bike ride was very short but strenuous at times. They showed different plants and natural spices along the way. The waterfall was beautiful and a nice dip after the bike ride. This trip is NOT for beginner riders. There is really no hiking involved.

Doing what: St Lucia Bike and Hike Half-Day Tour from the North Island
The bike tour in the rain forest was fun, however, between the hills, the heat and the humidity, it was very strenuous. Strong cyclists will love it, while a novice might need to ride the bus up the hills. The downhill was fun, but the trail is still washed out in sections from the rain which made going too fast dangerous. Once we left the bikes and hit the waterfall the fun really began (in my opinion). The waterfall decent was not too steep nor too long and once you arrived it was the perfect refreshment to the strenuous uphill bike ride. The water was cool and the guides were very hospitable. They opened coconuts and took pics of everyone with our cameras. All in all I would recommend it - just be sure you are physically fit enough to climb the hills.

Doing what: St Lucia Aerial Tram and Zipline Canopy Tour
Great trip. Although Viator failed to mention the $120 round trip taxi fare to get there from the cruise ship terminal! If I booked through the cruise line, it would have been cheaper because it included the transit.
Note from Viator: Thanks for your honest feedback. We've contacted our local supplier and are following up to ensure this does not happen again.

Doing what: Gros Piton Nature Trail Hike in St Lucia
This is a very, very challenging hike, but the reward upon finishing is fantastic and well worth the effort. The views are postcard perfect. The trail is very well marked, however, you are required to have a "guide". I think this is just so locals can make money, but I don't really have a problem with that. However, our guide basically led us up the trail, but did not share much information. I learned more about the trail and the mountain by reading about it before we even arrived in St. Lucia. There are some really good photo spots along the trail, including an incredible view of Petit Piton at the 1/2 mark. While the hike itself is pretty fantastic, it can be a very long drive (1.5-2 hrs) from areas of Castries or further north. It is a very winding and twisty road. Our tour driver never stopped for lunch, as listed, which was a huge negative since we were starving after hiking. At $130, this tour is way overpriced(especially without lunch), but if you are a hiker and you want great views, it might be worth the money.

Doing what: St Lucia Shore Excursion: Soufriere Island Delight
No one at the docking point knew about the tour. It time to sort out where the tour organizer was and how we were going to get to the river tubing area. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable and the stops he made were interesting. However, for the distance travelled, the tubing was short lived and a snooze, but refreshing. The tubing guides and managers were friendly and contentious. The guy with the punch really limited the amount he shared and took off once everyone had gotten serve. It would be good to add some celebration, perhaps some food and certainly more or a stop along the tubing area for a picnic and music.

Doing what: St Lucia Shore Excursion: Catamaran Day Sail
I would NOT suggest this tour if you are coming off cruise ship. We were told that we would be back at 4:15. Our ship to sail at 4:45, We ran back to ship as putting up gang plank. Overall, the tour was fine. The snorkeling was crowded but ok. Not outstanding but not great snorkeling at St Lucia. We had no weather or other issues. Just poor communication. Very large boat with lot of people. Staff polite and friendly.

Doing what: Half-Day Kayak Tour from the North Island
This was difficult to rate as we did enjoy it very much but it was fairly basic so maybe a three star. I think it would appeal to beginners but not to the experienced. We set off along the coast for a couple of miles and then transferred to a freshwater lake/river going as far as we would like with the guide. He was obviously experienced and possibly could be more demanding with more experienced kyakers. He was very friendly and helpful. In fact we had booked for the Monday trip but, as he hadn't managed to get anyone else, asked us if we could do the Tuesday instead. However, no-one else was boooked for that either so he took just the two of us out anyway. We didn't see the archway shown in the picture so maybe he didn't take us as far as he normally would.

Doing what: St Lucia Shore Excursion: Catamaran Day Sail
Rushed from ship to location and waited on boat for 45 mins. Not a good start. Ride nice, STAFF WAS GREAT! Way too many people on the trip between our boat and 2 others. Felt herded. Location for lunch great. Would not do this trip with you again. Want smaller amount of people on tour.

Doing what: St Lucia Shore Excursion: Catamaran Day Sail
In one word: disappointing. On our way to Soufriere, we were repeatedly reminded that we would get to choose between mud baths and the botanical gardens when we arrived. However, when we got off the katamaran, we were quickly herded to buses without being asked our choice. We tried to ask if the bus they were pushing us into was the one going to the mud baths but were brusquely told to get on the bus and not hold up the line. Of course we ended up at the botanical gardens (lovely though they were) and not where we wanted to go. Also, the katamaran was late leaving in the morning and again after lunch. When it came time to snorkel, they handed us snorkeling gear and everybody put them on. But before we could get in the water, we were told there was no time left to snorkel if we were to be back in time to board the ship. We had to quickly remove the gear and jump on a separate katamaran to take us back to port while the other guests stayed behind and snorkeled. So we paid for the mud baths and snorkeling ... and got neither! Viator was aware of the ship schedule and didn't deliver on what was promised. Also, they "promise" to fly you to your destination if they don't bring you back before the ship sails -- but what they don't tell you is that, in order for them not to have to do that, you might have to miss some of the activities you paid for. Not right.

Doing what: St Lucia Shore Excursion: A Tour of St Lucia
The tour was lovely EXCEPT they did not pick us up at our tour cruise pier as we had reserved and re-confirmed. They were a no show and until a local information person helped us contact the tour agency, we were stuck!!!

Doing what: St Lucia Shore Excursion: Aerial Tram and Rainforest Tour
The trip was fine. It's to bad you don't tell people like us that the taxi ride to the tram is $100. 00 dollars. It would have been cheaper doing it thru the ship we were on. I don't think I will use you people again, because you did not mention the extra cost !! or the amount of the taxi.If you change your policy of telling people the FULL up front cost, then I may use you again.
