Eight of us, all over 50 years of age recenty did this tour. It was truly the highlight of our Carribean Cruise. Everyone at Lucian Style was so friendly and helpful. They made sure we were all comfortable on the segways before leaving on the trail tour. It was really pretty easy to learn and the sights were beautiful. They took pictures of us usng our own cameras and the fruit snacks were delicious and fresh. We also enjoyed the drinks at Miss Mary's shack although the drinks cost more than we planned (our fault....I guess we shud have asked). All the guys involved from Richard the manager to Shanga and the other two guides....this was a fun and memorable way to spend time in beautiful St. Lucia.
We had a terrific time on this tour. Sammy, our driver, was fun and friendly, filling us in on all the interesting sites and history of St. Lucia. In our van of 7 people, we traveled the very windy roads of St. Lucia, stopping at a banana plantation to taste "hot-off-the-bush" bananas - sweet and yummy. We also stopped in a local village where Sammy picked us up some delicious hot local bread. The sulfur springs were interesting, if not a bit smelly. It was fascinating to dip our hands in the creeks running with warm/hot water. And the botanical gardens were fantastic. Even the rain clouds couldn't put a damper on that visit. We had a wonderful day and got a good taste I think of what St. Lucia and it's friendly people are all about. My only recommendation would be to add an hour to the trip and allow a stop for lunch in a local restaurant. The trip was a bit long to not have a meal stop.
This was a very relaxing tour. It was interesting to hear about the different elements of the rainforest and the history of St Lucia.
Loved this excursion and the staff! The only issue we had was with the time not being available and not being notified until a few days before we left and the number on the vouchers to contact St. Lucia Segway was incorrect.
Mostly good tour. Guide was very nice but too soft spoken and difficult to understand. We put my daughter up front to "interpert" for the rest of us. Didn't like that we had to tip every guides at every stop (botanical gardens and volcano) - seemed as though we already paid enough for the tour that it should have been covered - also the tip for the tour guide. There was no lunch stop or opportunity to get anything. If food not included, at least should have had the opportunity to purchase something along the way - I was glad I had some fruit and snacks with me. Description sounds like there will be a lunch stop at your expense but not the case, even when it was requested by one of the men on the tour. Otherwise, very nice tour - we saw a lot.
I recommend seeing all of the places on this tour, but beware that the roads wind through very steep hills and you may get stuck in the back of a van for ~3 hours. Wasn't a big deal for us as we were busy looking at all of the great sights and we don't get motion sickness, but near the end I was ready to get out. I could have done without the plantation tour and rather taken a mud bath at the volcano sight (which was very cool).
We were disappointed to be told after the boat had left the dock that the sails were down and we would be motoring all day. If we had known that, we would have cancelled - we booked this tour because we wanted to sail! Also, your representatives forgot to meet us when our cruise ship docked and almost left without us. The catamaran was nice, but we found the constant games and loud music a bit annoying after several hours.
Rushed from ship to location and waited on boat for 45 mins. Not a good start. Ride nice, STAFF WAS GREAT! Way too many people on the trip between our boat and 2 others. Felt herded. Location for lunch great. Would not do this trip with you again. Want smaller amount of people on tour.
In one word: disappointing. On our way to Soufriere, we were repeatedly reminded that we would get to choose between mud baths and the botanical gardens when we arrived. However, when we got off the katamaran, we were quickly herded to buses without being asked our choice. We tried to ask if the bus they were pushing us into was the one going to the mud baths but were brusquely told to get on the bus and not hold up the line. Of course we ended up at the botanical gardens (lovely though they were) and not where we wanted to go. Also, the katamaran was late leaving in the morning and again after lunch. When it came time to snorkel, they handed us snorkeling gear and everybody put them on. But before we could get in the water, we were told there was no time left to snorkel if we were to be back in time to board the ship. We had to quickly remove the gear and jump on a separate katamaran to take us back to port while the other guests stayed behind and snorkeled. So we paid for the mud baths and snorkeling ... and got neither! Viator was aware of the ship schedule and didn't deliver on what was promised. Also, they "promise" to fly you to your destination if they don't bring you back before the ship sails -- but what they don't tell you is that, in order for them not to have to do that, you might have to miss some of the activities you paid for. Not right.
The tour was lovely EXCEPT they did not pick us up at our tour cruise pier as we had reserved and re-confirmed. They were a no show and until a local information person helped us contact the tour agency, we were stuck!!!
The trip was fine. It's to bad you don't tell people like us that the taxi ride to the tram is $100. 00 dollars. It would have been cheaper doing it thru the ship we were on. I don't think I will use you people again, because you did not mention the extra cost !! or the amount of the taxi.If you change your policy of telling people the FULL up front cost, then I may use you again.
