A very pleasant tour. Because of its location Stockholm is a beautiful city and the central parts have very impressive streets vistas and are well maintained. The coach part was more enjoyable because there was a smaller number and a personal guide.

I was expecting a lot more from this tour given the reviews. It was definitely worth doing given how much of the city you see but it wasn't amazing. I found that a lot of the information you got on the bus was repeated on the boat which felt like it was just the same stuff. It's not good for taking photos because you are inside on both trips. I would recommend it to get a good overview of the city itself but it was just ok for me.

We only got to do the water ride as the bus had problems. Said we could do the tour the next day but our cruise was leaving then. Was not going to take us for boat trip part but more than 1/2 of tour wanted to do it. Boat ride was nice.

The coach and boat tour were both very interesting and scenic. It was easy to find the meeting place for the bus, we sat up top and had a great view of all of the sites in the city. The bus dropped us off right at the boat so we didn't have to search for that loading area. The boat tour has headphones which allow you to listen in several different languages. This tour gave us an opportunity to see a lot of the city in a short period of time, great value.

Doing what: Stockholm City Hop-on Hop-off Boat Tour

We arrived on the Celebrity Constellation, and the boat docks a short clearly marked walk from customs clearance-- perfect location! But the pilots are very casual: they do not secure the boats to the dock, but simply keep the motor running towards the pier. This is REALLY a hop on hop off in that they left the pier as soon as passengers disembarked and before we had a chance to do our hopping on! I had to wave my ticket (flailing arms!) to get them to see that we needed a ride; too casual. Stops are at all the places you'd want to see, and since we had such a short day there this was the perfect mode of transportation for us. They do stop at the Vasa, and this is a big plus as it it a bit of a long bus ride to get to in on land; easy by boat. Price was wonderful considering how expensive Stockholm is. Perfect ride except for the jockey pilots.

The Grand Tour was great. It rained during the bus tour however it didn't really effect it at all; both the boat and bus had good information and provided a wonderful view of the city with all sorts of worthwhile information.
