This was a very exciting day (even though it was foggy and light rainy that day). The Blue mountains and surrounding scenery is lovely and the scenic world rides are FUN ! Do ALL of them. The lunch was good too. We also enjoyed the wildlife park, all the animals and esp. petting a koala . a very worthwhile trip.
The Blue Mountains were beautiful. I also enjoyed Featherdale Wildlife Park and the opportunity to see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, devils up close. Later in Melbourne, I took the Savannah Walk About and saw some of these in the wild. I'm glad I saw them in both environments. I took all three rides in the mountains. One would have been enough.
We had a great time at Blue Mountains. We really enjoyed all the beautiful scenic views and the rides. Would highly recommend this trip.
Absolutely great!! Driver commentary was very good and informative and the Blue mountains were magnificent. We were lucky that the weather was good for us the views breath-taking. If you do nothing else whilst in Sydney do this. The arrangements cannot be faulted, the Viator staff very friendly and helpful.
Doing what: Blue Mountains Day Trip and River Cruise
This was definitely worth the money. The driver the first day was excellent;very helpful and informative. The city tour was interesting and the harbor cruise and lunch was very nice. The Blue Mountain tour was so beautiful! I would definitely recommend this two day package to anyone. We saw a lot in a short time.
Plus: The Vibe hotel and staff were amazing and EXTREMELY helpful!!. I would strongly recommend them to ANYONE!! The AAT Kings tours were well run with great tour operators. Our itinerary was waiting at the hotel desk with directions for every day. We were picked up and dropped off at hotel. The harbor cruise was beautiful and the food was good. Manly beach was lovely, city sights were interesting. The trip to the Blue Mountains was amazing and so was the wildlife park. Great experience!
Minus: Only three small items 1) The airport shuttle was confusing--where do you meet the driver? We had printed our Viator voucher but it had no directions. We called AATKings and they told us where to go. But then the airport shuttle driver wanted our voucher and we just had one copy. He agreed to take us to hotel and make a copy.
2) We were headed on a cruise. So we just lost the last transfer back to airport. A cruise line drop off option would be nice especially since both terminals are so close. MUCH closer than the airport.
3) Some of the Bondi beach tour was repetitive as we are not beach people. AAT Kings offers lots of tour options--so we wished we could have picked something else to do after the WONDERFUL harbour cruise. Aquarium visit? Opera House tour? We had an amazing time!!
Very good driver remembered everyone's names. Blue mountains were spectacular
Very good experience. steve our guide was awesome with his witty sense of humour, keeping this always interesting. It's a lot of fun for a 11 hour trip and comes strongly recommended. At this price it's a no-brainer to go on this trip which includes rides to the blue mountains, featherdale zoo, a ferry ride back home and a bush walk too. I would unhesitantly recommend this trip to anyone :)
Mine was a last minute trip to Sydney and I had a limited amount of time to explore. My goal was to see as much as I possibly could without feeling rushed or exhausted. The 2-Day Combo: Sydney City Tour, Sydney Harbor Cruise and Blue Mountain Day Trip helped me successfully accomplish my goal. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Great tour!
We enjoyed out hike at the Blue Mountain. Since we didn't stay in CBD area, our guide, Nisha picked us at the Central Station. She was really friendly and knowledgeable. The hike wasn't difficult at all.
Doing what: Blue Mountain Small-Group Day Hikes from Sydney
Going on the small bus tour was a plus and our tour guide Mina was knowledgeable and very thoughtful of his passengers. If your time in Sidney is limited the Blue Mountains is a day trip not to be passed up, a great trip! The Blue Mountains are beautiful.
We stopped at the delightful village of Leura for morning tea and had a short time to visit a few local shops.
The cable car ride and vertical railway were fun as was the walk at the bottom.
The Feather Dale wildlife park was very good; fun to be able to feed kangaroos and touch koala bears.
The ferry down the Parramatta River and passing under the Sydney Harbour Bridge made a wonderful ending for the day.

This is an absolute must for locals and visitors alike. We cannot stop talking about this adventure to anyone who will listen. Check in 24 hours in advance for the complimentary hotel pick up. This company should be up for the tourist award in friendliness, knowledge, cleanliness of facility/helicopters to the top notch helicopter pilots and employees. Views from the helicopter over the harbor and Blue Mountains will stay with us for the rest of our lives. Plus, the landing pad at the Blue Mountains is right across the street from the monorail that brings tourists to the bottom of the Rain Forest. James, our pilot was professional, yet became one of our family while we were together. Absolutely outstanding!
The Blue Mountains trip was a very enjoyable day. The view from Echo Point was magnificent. The worlds steepest train ride is a must for everyone visiting the Blue Mountains. What a great experience. Our driver, Juliano, was very friendly and professional and ensured everyone was having a good time. The Featherdale Wildlife Park gave us all a unique opportunity to get close to the animals.
We were picked up at our hotel promptly at the specified time. Our driver and guides were both excellent. The harbour cruise included a seafood buffet that was great and although I am selective about what seafood I eat, there were plenty of different dishes to choose from. The bus tour portion included stops at St. Kilda and Brighton beach, both of which provided some wonderfully colourful photos and experiences.
On the second day, we headed out to the Blue Mountains on a day much better than had been predicted. The Blue Mountains had mostly cleared off after the bush fires, which provided good photo opportunities. Our first stop was the Featherdale Wild Life Park and this was truly a highlight of my entire six week holiday. I was so excited to be able to touch so many of the animals exclusive to Australia. If this had been the ONLY stop on the tour, I would still have been satisfied, but we went on to the Jamieson Valley in the Blue Mountains. There were beautiful views of the valley and the Three Sisters rock formation. Following that we opted to take the 4 different ways to see the valley. We rode the cable car, tram and steep railway as well as walked on the valley floor.
It wasn't over yet. We then went to Leura where we were allowed some time to shop in the lovely independent shops were vintage, new and art items could be purchased.
It wasn't over yet. On the way back because we were ahead of schedule, the bus driver took us through the 2000 Olympic facilities at Homebush.
I doubt if anyone could ask for more from a tour.
Great day trip! It is a long drive to the Blue Mountains and back but once you get to the Jenolan Caves you'll realize it's well worth it. The cave we visited was really awesome! Too bad that the tour group was quite large (as usual, tend to get people who aren't very aware of common courtesy) but if you don't have a car or don't want to make the drive out to the caves, taking this tour works well.
Be patient when trying to spot a platypus in the blue lake. We waited quietly for a few minutes and he appeared several times for us.
