If you've ever been to Malaysia you'll have fond memories of the beautiful roti, dips and curries. Mamak has brought these flavours to Sydney and offers an amazingly delicious experience with lunch specials like the chicken, fish or lamb Malaysian curries from only $10.50! Be sure to get a Roti Canai for only $5 as it's as light and fluffy as you'll get in Kuala Lumpur and it's only $5. Bring a bottle of wine or a couple beers as it's BYO. Mamak has permanent lineups so get there early or late to avoid them. The dinner queue is generally about 30 mins - amazing for street hawker cuisine! Mamak is in Chinatown on Gouburn near the corner Dixon street. This place truly proves you don't need to spend a fortune to get an amazing meal in Sydney!
