I really enjoyed this tour. We saw some magnificent scenery that we do not get to see back home and we had a few tasty aboriginal dishes. My own complaint was the lack of time at a few stops. If they could remove the Marble factory tour and add it to other stops, it would be much better.

The tour was okay. Wasn't much excitement. It was more of a get-on-get-off-photo-stop tour. The tour guide did know her stuff but the tour itinerary itself wasn't that great. Don't expect adventure and thrills. The scenery is nice but that's pretty much it.

The sights were spectacular. The guide was not appealing, a disappointment, in fact.

just the best day, fantastic, from plane to train and the best bus trip up an amazing gorge, an absolte must see. also wonderful yum cha lunch at Silks.

Despite the relatively low rating, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed myself; however, I believe this is due to two things:
1. I had a GREAT group of fellow tourists accompanying me on this trip.
2. I had THE BEST tour guide...Josephine!
I was simply not as impressed with the gorge as I thought I might be. I think this may have been due to the time of year in which I visited. It might be prettier at another time, but when I visited, it was just gray, and there weren't very many interesting colors, as I have seen in different photos.
Fortunately, my tour guide spiced things up for us by allowing us to "break the rules" a bit and get a bit closer to nature. Additionally, Josephine took us to an unscheduled stop after lunch. It was a popular swimming area for locals on a lake...ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR! I just wish I would have packed my swim trunks...Ugggghhh!
Ultimately, the trip is worth doing, but manage your expectations. I never had a "WOW" moment. Oh! And, the lunch was nice!

The morning itinerary was well-organized and very enjoyable. The gorge was phenomenal. I wish the tour spent more time at the park, but I felt I got a good overview.

Taroko Gorge is a sight not to be missed, and this tour is definitely a great way to experience it.
We covered alot of ground but things never felt rushed. Tour guide Josephine always allowed us sufficient time to enjoy each station and was very flexible— not only that, she was extremely entertaining and an absolute ball of energy!
The one little thing I'd wish was for us to have spent less time at the marble factory / jade warehouse, thus allowing even more time to spend at the gorge itself. Otherwise, finishing up at Chishing Beach was the perfect way to the trip.
Recommended for sure!
