Comment from Nev the Dev
It was the only place worth recommending in Tampa, but what a place!!!
Housed in the original Tampa Bay Hotel which is now part of the University of Tampa,
this is a beautiful building, constructed/finished in 1891 by H.B.Plant. His idea was to provide luxury holidays for well-off New Yorkers at the end of the 19th Centuary.
He extended the railway track down to southern Florida and provided this wonderful Hotel for their every desire. It failed and he died shortly after it folded, but for the full, very interestingly told story, you'll have to visit the museum.
