Doing what: Mt Field National Park and Russell Falls from Hobart
A great day, informative, friendly driver/guide, lots to see, unhurried and not crowded. The park itself is amazing with some fabulously tall eucalypts, wildlife and a very pretty and impressive waterfall at the end of a pleasant forest walk.
The trout farm we visited on the way was very interesting backed up with coffee and crepes, who could ask for more!

Doing what: Mount Wellington Tour from Hobart
Trip was well organised and conducted. It is however very dependent on the weather as to how good the views are. On our day the weather at the top had closed in and nothing could be seen from the viewing platform or anywhere else for that matter.
The guide/driver stopped below the cloud on the way down and this made the effort worthwhile.
Most importantly, don't go without adequate clothing, the wind at the top is strong and gusty and not at all warm!

Amazing day. Tour bus driver friendly and informative. Bus comfortable but little cramped.

Doing what: Mount Wellington Descent Cycling Tour departs Hobart
very good, but weather was bad. A "get-out" clause in case of inclement weather would be helpful. A thrilling, exhilerating experience, and worth the inconvenience of the weather.

Wonderful trip, we have plenty of time to enjoy the forest walk, experienced the primitive atmosphere while walking under big tall trees, being surrounded by fallen trees and the unforgettable view of Russell Falls.

Doing what: Mount Wellington Tour from Hobart
This tour could be coupled with that of a visit to Botanic Gardens or elsewhere to offer a better package deal. As it is, there is not much value for the fare paid, which is why this tour is not very popular judging from the number of passengers on board.

Doing what: Mount Wellington Tour from Hobart
Our tour guide was great and very informative however the day we went on our tour it was -5 with 90km winds and heavy rain. Could not see a thing. Dissapointed.

Doing what: Cradle Mountain National Park Day Tour from Launceston
On time pickup - stopped in Sheffield on the way which wasn't very interesting and could have been shorter. Toilets at the mountain visitor centre are pretty bad and unfortunately the weather was awful so we never saw the mountain. Didn't realize till we got back that guide hadn't even gestured to where it was within the clouds. Walks round the lake are OK, but a poor substitute. Visit to a pioneer’s house was interesting but nothing special. Quick walk round a waterfall path was probably the best bit. The inevitable visit to a shop (cheese) on the way back was disappointing and lingered for too long. Would have been better to find an additional place to stop within the park itself. Both coaches (we swapped) were OK, but there were no on-board toilets. Guide did his best with the commentary, but most of the scenery on the way there and back was shrouded in cloud (though the day before and the day after would both have been fine).
