Excellent guide and tour.
My only problem was that I had not understood that it was my responsibility to get myself back to Tel Aviv.
So be aware of this.
However, the guides provided me with a very creative solution - so it ended well.

Hi, I highly recommend to visit Mini Israel, only 30 minutes from Tel Aviv on the main road to Jerusalem.
You can see all Israel must see sites in hust a few hours. The park has more than 300 models of archeological, historical, religious and modern sites. You can also see there models from Tel Aviv like Azrieli Towers, old Jaffa, Bauhaus buildings..and even the Opera house and the beach promenade.

Petra is a mesmerising relic of the past, well worthwhile spending a whole day exploring.Unfortunately, the Viator organised trip disappoints due to the time wasted crossing the border and travelling within Jordan.Be prepared to wait/queue for up to 1hr for the Israeli customs desks to open so that you can have your passport stamped. Once over the Israeli border but still in the intercountry fenced-off zone, we waited for nearly another hour on the Jordanian side, without being informed of what caused the delay. It transpired that the Jordanian tour counterparty waited for a large American group (30+people) to join our relatively small international party (10 people) despite us having turned up good 40min before them and having submitted our passports for inspection. Seeing the paid Jordanian "passport helpers" assist many other groups before ours despite us having arrived first was infuriating. The rain and cold did not help either.
Once we set off, our journey was punctuated by the mandatory tourist trap visits and was protracted by the driver being extremely careful not to exceed a speed limit of 40km/h.
We arrived at Petra at 13:00!! This left us with 2.5 hrs to explore a tiny part of it so that at 16:00 we could have the included lunch. You could imagine we had starved to death by then. After the meal, we were leisurely driven back to the border (3.5 hrs), where we nearly missed our 20:55 flight back to Tel Aviv.
A word of advice: book a tour to Jordan, drive to Petra and stay overnight there. The 2.5 hrs in Petra are definitely not worth $1000 for two travellers and the cross-border hassle.

Great taste of all the things one will want to explore in Tel Aviv later. The morning pick up was chaotic, and the guide firm to manage a big groupbut knowledgeable and really did her best to be sure everyone had a great experience! Thanks Maya

Petra is a sight not to be missed. Our guide was a little bit late upon our arrival to the airport so we weren't quite sure where to go but then when she showed up, it all went well. Crossing the border into Jordan is a bit tense but it just takes a while. Our guide picked us up on the other side, we were in a very nice bus and it's a drive to Petra... Once we got there, he took us all thru the site and explained things to us but I would go ahead an bone-up up the sight prior to going as I think it would enrich the experience even more. We rode camels (not incuded in the tour price) and it was like going back in time... A really exciting trip and, as always, well arranged by Viator.com!

Had a great day at the Dead Sea. The resort we were taken to had good, if fairly basic facilities and there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The cafe was also good. Only four of us were dropped off at the Dead Sea - the rest of the coach party then went on to Massada. We were originally told the coach would return and leave at 4.10pm but, as they were delayed, we did not actually all leave until 4.30pm. This meant that we had a very long day at the Dead Sea - well over 5 hours. This did not bother us because we found it very relaxing but others may have felt bored spending this amount of time in the resort as once you are there you are stuck there with nothing else to do.

Doing what: Dead Sea Spa and Wellness Trip from Tel Aviv

I had a great trip. The guide was very good. He was informative and amusing and he kept everyone on time which made the experience all the better.

This trip was great! But it is a bit of a hassle coming back through to Israel - getting through security then getting through security again at the airport if you flew in from Tel Aviv. This trip is probably done better at the end of a trip when moving on to the next country so you don't have to enter Israel again. Be prepared to walk a lot.

Regarding the local operator the main problem was lack of information, I had to send many e-mails to get the information regarding the flights, time, schedule and also I had no representative supporting in the airport before and either after the flight… ok I did it, but just got it because I’ve asked a lot to local operator and also in the airport (and in many times I had the impression, due to responses way, they were upset with my messages) otherwise I would be waiting till today about the information and how to procedure…They don’t provided me, at least, the name of the air company! A had to discover in the airport half hour before the flight! Viator provided me a great support since the beginning of the process, but, unfortunately, this level of service and assistance was not the same with the local operator… Petra is amazing, the local guide (from Jordan) was very good and friendly, but I strongly recommend visiting through Jordan and not via Israel (Viator has good options from Jordan), the bureaucracy and security procedures are very hard if you are not from Israel, it is really a problem, believe me! In my personal opinion, they don’t like foreign people…I will never going back to Israel and never recommend to my friends….to my enemies, maybe….

First time that we've been to the Dead Sea, it was lovely. The tour guide suggested that we visit Masada on the same day and it's good that we took his suggestion as it was a magical experience as well. Beautiful view from Masada

The half day tour was enough for us to see most of Jerusalem's old city. It was a bit of a mission to get from Jerusalem's old city / Jaffa Gate to the central bus station, but once there it was easy to get a bus back to Tel Aviv

Hello:

Due to the tardiness of one participants in Petra, we were much delayed into Aquaba. You may wish to set stricter rules for the time of departure from the sight. Tks.

This tour is jam packed with things to see. A good bit of walking if that's a problem for you. Tour guide was informative. Souviner shop was only fair. I did not understand the fine print and that the tour ends in Jerusalem. Guide was helpful in suggesting the bus back to Tel Aviv. Took cab from lunch spot to Central bus station then #480 bus for 20 Shekels to Tel Aviv and cab to hotel. Relatively painless. Bus runs every 20 minutes. Enjoyed the city of Jerusalem and this is a good tour if you don't have a lot of time.

The trip itself was very good, especially walking around old Jerusalem. However, there are two things to note: 1. Whilst the webpage states hotel pick-up - this may not mean a pick-up at your hotel itself, and you may have to walk to a nearby hotel 2. The tour is sold as pick up and return to Tel Aviv - this is incorrect, as the tour finishes in Jerusalem and you have to figure out how to get back (we managed to get a trip back as were sold a return trip - even though this was pre-arranged through Viator who had sold the trip as a return trip, the local tour guides initially asked for additional money to be paid by us!)

The driver made too many stops (and some of them too long) so we could buy souvenirs. Buying is ok, but none of us wanted to spend 30 precious minutes in a shop. The border crossing was too long, not because of the paperwork, but because the travel guide took our passports for another half hour on the Jordanian side, while he "helped us" with the process.... that was very uncomfortable and suspicious. Our driver on the Jordanian side had a very limited English, and that caused many communication issues. The travel company made a mistake and told me that my flight back to Tel Aviv departed at 7:25 pm. Other travelers had their flights a couple of hours later, so I had to drop from the tour in Aqaba to cross the border and catch my flight (after a long and tedious discussion with the driver and the guide telling me that it was "my fault" for not telling them about my flight on time. Once I got to the border, driven by a Jordanian travel guide, he took my passport again and asked me to pay for his vehicle's entry into Israel, which I refused. After he called the Israeli company and discussed, he gave me my passport back and I crossed. At the end of the day, the flight time they gave me was wrong, but fortunately Arkia (the airline) was able to accommodate me on the early flight anyway. General recommendation: don't take this trip on a single day, stay one night in Jordan and get to Petra early in the morning so you have time to see everything and avoid the heat of midday.
