Beautiful day trip to the west Highlands. JAN, our guide, was full of historical details, music and information about the Glencoe/ Lock Ness area. With several stops including less known spots and no crowds, I recommend this day trip to anyone interested in the Scotland countryside!
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! It was the high light of my trip to Scotland!
Jonathan was a great tour guide....very knowledgeable and witty, and made our trip
very memorable. We would certainly recommend this tour to others.
The tour was very relaxing and pleasant. Our guide/Driver Dunken was really informative and friendly. We learnt a lot about Scottish history. Accommodation at Inverness was very cosy and homely. Great tour package overall. We enjoyed the trip and definitely gonna recommend it to others. Only thing that bothered me that we didn't get any discount in local restaurants.
Great scenery! Loved the tour and the guide.
Group Leader Murray Anderson was fantastic. Loved the tour from start to finish. Beautiful scenery and lively interchanges with entire group onboard. This tour made Scotland come alive and very memorable!
Gill was so knowledgable, and gave us a history lesson. I bought books on Scottish history after this tour. Loved the beautiful trip and back. I would say skip the boat ride on Lock Ness, unless you just want a boat ride on the water. Nothing more to it than that. Overall, great trip.
The 3 day tour takes you to a selection of natural and man made tourist attractions. The drive is long, but there are many toilet breaks and the scenery is beautiful. We were lucky to attend on rainless days with a few spots of sun. There was a fair bit of walking involved but no mud, so regular running shoes and a light jacket were enough.
Our guide, Al, was humorous, friendly, and really knowledgeable about all facets of Scotland. Some of the locations seemed remote or difficult to reach without a guide, so these tours are a really hassle free way to see more of Scotland. We normally don't travel in tour groups, but this one was really worth it.
Great! Had a wonderful time and Nick took great care of us all!
Had a great rime, the guide was funny, new his history and was a pleasure to be around. Good level of stops as well.
This tour formed part of a birthday present from my family and I could not have wished for a better present. My daughter accompanied me on the tour and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The weather performed admirably. We had hot sunny weather for the entire 5 days apparently a rarity in Scotland! and this made the experience that much more enjoyable.
The tour arrangements were excellent. We drove through areas of magnificent scenery. At the various point of interest stops ample time was allowed for people to explore and take in the sights.
The accommodation arranged for the overnight stops was of a high standard. We selected the B and B option and were very happy with the comfort and quality of the food. The B and Bs were also conveniently located close to the town/village centers.
Andy our guide was tremendous. His joking banter kept us amused and his knowledge of the areas we travelled through and points of interest we stopped at was extensive. This together with his history lessons coloured with bits and pieces of folklore added to the enjoyment of the experience.
Andy had the ability to take a busload of strangers and convert them into friends. He also managed to find some degree of personal connection to Scotland for members of the tour party. These actions greatly enhanced the tour for us.
The highlight of the tour for us was our attendance at the Skipinnish Ceilidh during our overnight stop in Oban. Although this was an evening activity and not part of the official tour itinerary our attendance was based on a recommendation from Andy. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and got quite caught up in the spirit of things. We did not realize there was so much Gallic blood in us!
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering visiting the Highlands of Scotland.
Eric, the singing driver, was amazing! Great knowledge of the local history, and the young fellow on the boat, can't remember his name, was very engaging and funny. I highly recommend this tour.
The driver Richard was very knowledgable and told us all the famous landmarks and the story behind them. There were plenty of time for photography. The views were sensation. The lunch was not the best at the Moorings. It is definitely a worthwhile trip if you are in Scotland.
The tour of the Scottish Highlands was incredible! Such beautiful sights to behold. We could never have seen it all on our own. And known about the special places to visit. We had a terrific group on our tour and our Tour Guide Glen pulled it all together. He made it special with his knowledge and story telling. He was so passionate about everything it made it more exciting. What a beautiful part of Scotland to discover.
My tour guide, George, was amazing.
Excellent tour. Lots of interesting information by our guide Jan and nice Scottish tunes while on route. Well worth the money.
We really enjoyed seeing the beauty of the Highlands and feel we learned a lot about Scotland on the tour. Eric was wonderfully informative and entertaining. The three Scottish songs he sang were a highlight of the tour for his voice was lovely. Three cheers for a terrific tour guide!!!

Before purchasing this make sure you'll be in an area where you can put it to good use. I'd recommend it, even though it wasn't useful to me in Inverness. If I'd been in Glasgow or Edinburgh there would have been many more places accessible to me to see and things to do.
Ally Alastair was our tour guide and he has an encyclopedic knowledge of Scottish history. You gotta do this tour.
This was a fantastic tour and highly recommended. Our guide, Jonathan was very entertaining and full of interesting facts. Stops along the tour, in small towns like Callandar and Pitlochry, are great. The highlands are amazing and there will be plenty of photo opportunities. There's plenty of choices for lunch at Fort Augustus. Best way to see the highlands from Edinburgh.
Outstanding! Our Rabbie's guide, Pete M., was knowledgable, entertaining and enthusiastic. While the highlight of the tour was the boat tour of Loch Ness and visit to Urquard castle, our many other stops throughout the Highlands provided an appreciation of the history, natural wonder, and beauty of the region. Among the highlights: scotch tasting at Dalwhinnie distillery, the beauty of Glen Coe and Ben Nevis, and the Highland Folk museum. We even had time to stop at Doune Castle, used in the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie. Even The weather was perfect! My overnight accommodation in Inverness was at the Craigmonie Hotel, a comfortable and welcoming place. A minor complaint-I wish I could have had a choice of hotel options as I would have preferred to be In the town center. My travel companions that booked directly through the local tour company had more specific options. I cannot emphasize how great Pete was as our guide--I would certainly request his services on a future tour.
This is a fantastic tour. We had a very nice tour guide, Robin. He was very passionate about his job giving us loads of background information, historical stories and mixing his explanations with appropriate songs and musics. All made our trip absolutely fantastic. The number of stops for taking photo is good as well as the group is small only 15 persons on minibus.
We had an absolutely wonderful day. The weather was beautiful, we saw more than we ever thought we would. Our tour guide, Jonathan, was fantastic!! He was full of so many interesting stories and kept us informed of every stop we'd be taking. All the lochs were amazing, and the ruins of a 700 year old castle was just icing on the cake!
Absolutely fantastic. Our tour guide Murray was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He took us to amazing places and told us stories about the area. We would highly recommended this tour.
