Our trip to the Orkneys was a pleasant day with an informative guide called Stuart. We had fine weather which helped, the ferry ride back to the mainland was just a little rough as a strong wind came up. Would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent day out, made extra special by a full day of blue skies and sunshine showing of the Orkney landscape. Everything went to schedule made special with the ferry to start and finish with. On the island a polite and very helpful coach driver giving us a continuous fully informed commentary and just significant time at each venue to appreciate the key items. Highly recommended way of catching the main flavour of the Islands in a day.

We were really worried that the tour might be cancelled as it had been the day before due to stormy weather and the forecast for the Sunday was not good, however we woke up to glorious sunshine and total calm. The day lived up to all our expectations. Stuart, our guide was knowledgeable and his stories about the local history were humorous. I have already recommended this tour to numerous friends as it was the highlight of our two weeks stay in Scotland.

Excellent day out, the guides and drivers both up from Inverness, and on Orkney were fantastic. A long day, but well worth it!

Most excellent tour and guide (Stewart). Very knowledgable and there was plenty of time to see the sights as we drove along. Just the right amount of time at each of the areas of interest. Orkney is a beautiful island.

Cant recommend the day trip from John O'Groats to Orkney enough. Well organised from getting on the boat until getting off again at the end of the day. A coach was waiting as we got off the ferry and we were very quickly on our way for a very busy day. Our coach driver come tour guide had lived on Orkney for many years and was a mine of information. His good humour and helpfulness helped make this a very special trip. We spent time in Stromness and Kirkwall as well as seeing sights such as Skara Brae the Italian Chapel Scapa Flow the Churchill Barriers and the Standing Stones. Thoroughly recommended.
We also saved money booking on the internet through Viator on the price at the Ferry terminal which was a bonus!!

A lovely day out. I now want to go back to Orkney for a longer trip to explore further.

A fabulous tour with excellent tour guides who were friendly and informative. All journey times went like clockwork and there was time to spend at each tour highlight including Skara Brae, Ring of Brodga, Kirkwall and the Italian Chapel near Scapa Flow. A thorougly interesting and enjoyable day trip from Inverness. Well worth a visit!

This was a superb day packed with many features. The bus driver/guide on Orkney, Alan, was a fund of knowledge and stories, and put all the varied places we visited into perspective both with respect to the history and the people. Boat trip was good. Loved the hot chocolate!

fantastic day out to orkney..we had a very funny and infomative guide.skara brae was the highlight as the beach is gorgeous.we were blessed with warm sunshine.would highly recommend this trip,long day but worth every penny and you get to meet some interesting people from around the world

The tour was excellent and the guide was very knowledgeable. The only problem was timing. We had barely time for lunch, had to order sandwiches on the bus for dinner and could only get coffee on the bus that was made there. Unfortunately the coffee was not very good. Perhaps they could at least improve the coffee.
