with the limited time available this is the best way to see various aspects to the Tokyo areas.
Pick up arrangements (from near Mercure Hotel in Ginza) worked very well
This tour was very well organized and the guide was fantastic. He was very knowledgable about Japan and on each part of the tour. He was flexible and dealt with all on this trip in a professional manor. The lunch was fantastic. The only problem we had was that they do not drop you off at your hotel but rather they have 2 stops and you need to find your own way back. This was difficult only being in Tokyo for 2 days total. Otherwise, this was a great trip to learn about the history of Japan.
A very nice tour, lots of interesting spots to visit, beautiful landscape
This was an extremely interesting and varied day with a lot packed into a few hours. Our guide, Naoki, was friendly and informative and certainly helped make the day a thoroughly enjoyable one!
The 3 sites visited in Kamakura were well chosen for their varied religious histories, contrasting buildings and gardens. Lunch in Yokohama was excellent and the afternoon visits to Chinatown and Sankeien Garden were both colourful experiences in very different ways!
Both Kamakura and Yokohama would certainly be wortth much longer visits but I would certainly recommend this tour if you don't have the time to spend longer there.
Fish was a wonderful guide. His love of country was contagous.
the tour was great, a bit hectic, not a lot of free time, but I really like every places we visited! I like lunch too! our tour guide gave us earphones so we hear her when we are out of the bus.. she's nice and very knowledgeable of the tour.
The statue of Buddha was the highlight of this trip. Rains during first half of the trip kind of sport the fun but had to do what I came to do. It was worth the visit.
Interesting and a good way to see some of the bay around Tokyo. The guide was informative.
okay .. guests should be advised to bring insect repellant,
I loved this Budha the most out of all budhas. It is worth taking the trip
Great scenery and a look at Japanese everday life. Even got a good view of Mt Fuji from the bus.
this was a nice tour. the locations were great. But, what I didn’t like is that we were not dropped off from where we were picked up for the tour. I feel that this is a huge in convince. People should be picked up and dropped off at the same location.
The first part of the tour was intersting and the city of Kamakura is beautiful and exciting. The afternoon part in Chinatown coould have been more interesting for non Asians, but for us Malaysians we have seen similar all the time so it was not as exciting, The tour guide was very good.
This tour had many problems. To begin with there was the problem of time management. At the first stop in Kamakura, the tour group was allowed to wander around Hasedera Temple and this caused a delay when regrouping for the next attraction. The visit to the outdoor Giant Buddha involved a 10 minute walk. Again the tour group was allowed to wander around before walking 10 minutes back to the bus. At the next stop things got worse. The tour was delayed again when not everyone returned to the bus on time. The tour guide had to run back to the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine to find the stragglers. Eventually a very hungry tour bus arrived in Yokohama for lunch at around 2pm. This was made worse by the choice of restaurant. Instead of an all you can eat Chinese buffet, the tour included a fancy small portioned Chinese meal that did not include any rice. The tour then continued with a shorten visit to the Sankeien Garden in the rain. The trip back to Tokyo included crossing the Yokohama Bay bridge. When we arrived in Ginza, the bus stopped near the metro station where we had to step over guard rails to get onto the sidewalk. The weather did not help, but this tour should have been better.

The sites were wonderful, and majestic. However we were only given 10 minutes, 15 minutes at each site. We never stopped to look at Chinatown, according to the guide we only had time to drive by "to get a glance". Lastly the bus driver stopped short which ended with people taking a flying leap.
