Doing what: Mt Fuji, Lake Ashi and Bullet Train Day Trip from Tokyo
A great one day trip. The bus was stopped when Mt Fuji came out of the clouds and gave us all an opportunity to see and photograph the peak. Plenty of relevant information was provided as we drove through the beautiful countryside. Unfortunately the one year old in my group became very sick and we chose to miss Lake Ashi. The guide went out of her way to give us bus and train details to allow our quick return to Tokyo via an earlier bullet train.

Overall good tour, and we had a great tour guide. Make sure you don't get on the bus that stops at TWO hotels after Mt. Fuji becuase it took forever and there is nothing to see. If they tell you that get on a different bus. Pick the lunch option, it was good. Bullet train was good.

Doing what: Mt Fuji, Lake Ashi and Bullet Train Day Trip from Tokyo
Planned trip would have been wonderful on a better weather day! It rained most of our day. If it hadn't rained, trip would have been a 5 star. We never could actually see Mt. Fuji, but we went to the Mt. Fuji 5th Station for our "Visa" moment. The Tour Guide was incredibly well prepared with historical information and stories about what we were seeing. If you go to Mt. Fuji, get some Mt. Fuji cake at the 5th station! It was delicious! Our four children (aged 7 to 20) especially enjoyed the bullet train back to Shinjiku Station (all 26 minutes of it)!

We had a fantastic day. Unfortunately the weather was not good but still made the most of it. Our tour guide Take was fantastic and the scenery from Mt Fuji to the town we caught the bullet train from was amazing. Quite a long bus ride back but very relaxing. Lunch was delicious!! Entire trip was well worth it.

Great guide, fun interesting trip. The highlight was the bullet train return.
Downside - the bus was WAY to cramped for a long journey. And (as usual) Fuji was invisible in the clouds, so consider yourself lucky if you actually get to see it.

We where travelling with a 10 month old and a 2.5 year old and really enjoyed the day tour. A long day but well worth it. I did think we where going and coming back by bullet train but the train is on the return journey you go to mount Fuji by bus. The tour is well organised and our guide nickname FISH, was extremely helpful and couldn't of asked for more. would recommend.

My tour was fantastic. All though the weather wasn't that great, I still had a great time. There was heaps of snow at station 5 and the traditonal lunch was delicious. Our guide was extremely friendly and had activities for us to do on the bus as well as giving us background information on Japan, its people and culture. The Bullet train was thrilling.

Perfect, I booked quite late but got the confirmation + vouchers no problem at all. The day trip worked like clock work (Japanese precision I would say). A luxury coach picked us up from the hotel and drove us to Mt Fuji where we were able to admire Mt Fuji at 'Step 5' level. The weather was kind to us and we had spectacular views. My son was mighty impressed when the bus dropped us off on the way back and we took the Bullet train back to Tokyo, great opportunity to experience high speed trains. Our tour guide was very consciences and her English was excellent, great day all around. I would recommend it no problem at all.

Take our host for the day kept us amused with his wit and humour. We were lucky with the weather at Mt Fuji. The previous day the mountain could not be viewed due to the cloud cover so get out your long range weather forcaster. The Bullet train back to Tokyo was an experience not to be missed

We picked the worst day in the history of the tour to go to Mt. Fuji. It was the 50-year wind and rain storm. We did see the mountain briefly before the weather completely engulfed us. We were unable to ride the cable car because of the winds. Instead we visited a very nice Museum with great views of the lake. Our 30-minute bullet train back to Tokyo took 1 1/2 hours due to weather related transit delays, but it was still an experience we will never forget. If we still had a good time, I can only imagine how much nicer it is on a normal day.

Fantastic day out - the tour guide was one of the best I've ever had anywhere in the world, sharing all sorts of insights into not only the sights but Japanese culture as well. Would highly recommend the authentic Japanese lunch and definitely take the bullet train back to Tokyo rather than the coach!

What an excellent daytrip - right from the moment the bus collected us at the hotel, until the bullet train pack to Tokyo. Yoko (our guide) was wonderful, and even sang Japanese songs for us on the bus! The food at lunchtime was lovely, with a super pumpkin soup to warm the body on a chilly day. Wonderful day and truly remembered for life - and Mt. Fuji even made an appearance though the clouds!
