Top 10 TV and Movies Tours

Lights, camera, action! We’ve toured our way through the USA, from Hollywood to New York to Hawaii, and visited famous locations from our favorite TV shows and movies. It’s a great way to see a different side to these locations, with heaps of insider angles on celebs and characters.

Hit the ground running with an up close and personal walk through Hollywood’s heart. This walking tour takes you to see the stars’ handprints and signatures outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the home of the Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre and the Walk of Fame. Even better, your movie guide will let you in on a few Hollywood secrets and point you in the right direction to do a little star spotting.

Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Bel-Air and Los Angeles are packed with A-listers’ mansions, and you’ll see more than 40 of them on this tour. Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Tom Cruise – you name ’em. You’ll also get to see famous LA sights like the Hollywood sign, Walk of Fame, Sunset Strip and Rodeo Drive.

Get to grips with Tinseltown on a tour of the sights you’ll recognise from such movies as Sunset Boulevard, Chinatown and Pretty Woman. Don’t worry if you can’t name the film – movie clips are screened on your ‘movie theatre on wheels’ tour bus while you’re parked out front, and your expert movie buff tour leader can add the inside gossip.

Step behind the scenes at Universal Studios, with entry to the famous backlots and skip-the-line entry to the studios’ shows and attractions. VIP pampering and preferential treatment will have you feeling like a star as you receive valet parking, gourmet catering and no-wait access to shows like Jurassic Park and Revenge of the Mummy.

The backlots and sound stages are yours to explore on a VIP tour of Warner Bros. Studio. Put Patrick Jane to the test on the set of The Mentalist, and take a seat on the couch used by Monica and Chandler et al in Friends. There’s tons of movie memorabilia on show at the Warner Bros. Museum, and favourite cars on film in the Transportation Museum.

There are a whole 60 TV and movie sites to see on this must-do tour. From Friends to The Devil Wears Prada, Men in Black to Ghostbusters, you’ll see movie locations in Times Square, Greenwich Village, the East Village, the Upper East Side and Fifth Avenue.

New York itself plays an essential character in Sex and the City, so take a tour to visit the locations where Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda drink, shop and gossip. You’ll see sites from both the TV series and movies, including Charlotte’s SOHO art gallery, Aidan’s workshop and the Jimmy Choo shoe boutique Carrie calls her second home.

You’ll be surprised how many famous movies have been shot in New York’s Central Park. Join a group of movie devotees on an easy walking tour through the legendary park and you’ll see the Boathouse Cafe from When Harry Met Sally. The tour visits more than 40 locations, including the Bandshell from Breakfast at Tiffany's and Kramer vs. Kramer, and the spot where Macaulay Culkin fed the pigeons in Home Alone II.

9. The Sopranos Sites Tour
Bada-bing, bada-boom - follow in the footsteps of Tony and family, on a bus tour of The Sopranos sites. If you can't get enough of the hit HBO series The Sopranos, you won't want to leave New York without joining this fun tour through New Jersey.

Oahu’s rugged valleys and pristine beaches have co-starred in scores of movies, including Jurassic Park, Mighty Joe Young, Pearl Harbor, 50 First Dates, You, Me and Dupree, Windtalkers and Godzilla. See where characters got well and truly Lost during filming of the hit TV show, and visit the island’s coastal defense gun battery, now a must-visit movie museum.

Doing what: Sex and the City Hotspots Tour

From the moment guide Lindsey arrived we were made to feel welcome and as if we were personal friends of hers. The way she presented the tour was fun and informative and they way she engaged everyone on the tour was warming. We paid the couple of extra dollars for the front row seats on the bus and that was money well spent. My wife, who is the SATC fan, had a great 3 hours and I even enjoyed it even though i dont know much about it. Highly recommend this tour.
