Our tour guide was great...................however, I was disappointed in the tour itself
I thought the suspension bridge would be out in the wilderness instead of a city park............too commercial............and too much time devoted to the salmon fishery
Grouse Mountain was nice but didn't care for the amusement park atmosphere
Overall, I felt that this tour was over-priced.
Another great day.Calipano Bridge ,the tree top walks and the cliff walk are wonderful. Grouse mountain was fun especially as the sun shone all day. All in all it was a great way to spend the day oput of town.
This proved to be a really worthwhile day trip and one that covered a lot of different aspects of amazing scenery right on the doorstop of downtown Vancouver. There was never more than about 30 minutes spent on the tour bus with the majority of time spent visiting the Capilano salmon hatchery; suspension bridge, tree top walk and cliff walk; Grouse Mountain and finally the Cleveland Dam. In places we were almost rushing a bit but managed to cover a lot of ground. Highlights were the walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge and seeing the two grizzly bears at the top of Grouse Mountain. There's a lot to do at each stop so plan well or plan to go back and do the bits you don't get time for.
Our guide - Graham - was excellent. A great mix of humour and interesting facts throughout and he took the time to speak to everyone on the bus during the day - a nice touch.
Without a doubt, this is an excellent way to: 1. Tour before your 5 p.m. sailing, 2. See the north island, 3. Have your bags taken right to your cabin. The swing bridge is fascinating, it takes you to a temperate rain forest on the other side and lots of nature trails. Back to the bus and your short ride then to Grouse Mountain allows the ascent of this magnificent area with literally too much to do. Highly recommended is the lumberjack show; this does have intelligent humor and some really talented 'jacks' and one heart stopping surprise. It is included with the gondola lift tickets. On top of the mountain you can also gaze for miles, zip, see bears, take the chair lift, dine, walk and take in some unbelievable tree carvings. Short bus ride to the dock then, where we found our luggage already in our cabin. Highly recommend this tour.
It was a rainy day, but it did not dampen our spirits. The suspension bridge is really cool. Grouse Mountain is okay.
We absolutely enjoyed this tour of the North Shore. We had a great driver/tourguide and it was such a pleasure to arrive on our cruise ship and find our luggage waiting at our stateroom door. Well worth it.
We really enjoyed this tour and the spectacular scenery. Our tour guide Steve was excellent and had great knowledge of the area. Due to peak season, it would have been good to have more time at Capilano, as we didn't get time to do the Cliff Walk. Worth doing!
Did not think Grouse Mountain was worth the time and money. In all fairness, the weather did not cooperate and so fog hampered any views.
Beautiful views, good to see view of Vancouver by day then all lite up at night. Tour guide was great, really knowledgable and friendly.
Doing what: Grouse Mountain Sunset Tour
This was a great day out and the local tour partner in Vancouver, Landsea Adventures, made the experience all that more enjoyable. Landsea go out of their way - figuratively and literally - to pick everyone up from a range of hotels all over the city. Once picked up the tour guides are super helpful and knowledgeable. This particular tour was spectacular. I took this tour on a long weekend in Canada so it was busy. Even so, all the people did not detract from the staggering beauty of the forest and the suspension bridge and treewalk are perfectly designed to show off this vital Canadian resource. The Grouse Mountain element was also great. Although the cloud level was low, I enjoyed the Lumberjack show which made me remember what it was to laugh like a 10-year old. I also caught site of one of the two grizzly bears and seeing them in real life is magical. Fantastic day out. Great experience. Lots of memories to take home.
Stunning scenery, well worth the trip, very friendly guide.
Amazing tour, Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain are two tourist places in Vancouver that any tourist can not miss. Very good tour guy as well, I recommend this tour to everybody.
Fantastic views and great guide.
Seriously, our guide, Orbin, made 200% different on the tour. He is knowledge and very friendly. He goes above and beyond. Landsea Tour, he is such an asset to your company. I would definitely recommend to anyone who visit Canada.
