Doing what: Vancouver Trolley Hop-on Hop-off Tour

We really enjoyed the Hop-on Hop-off Tour. We made it around the loop three times in two days and went up in the observation tower twice: once in the afternoon and once in the evening to see the city lights. Stanley Park was enjoyable and Ross (trolley driver) was very entertaining. The trolley stopped right in front of our hotel (Marriott Residence Inn). It is really the best deal to order your tickets on line, a lot more bang for your buck. We lucked out and had nice weather for a mid February three day weekend. The trolley drivers did a very good job of staying on schedule. If we make it back to Vancouver, we will definately ride the trolley again.

Doing what: Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour

Enjoyed the tour - the guide had a very good knowledge of his home town and displayed a loyalty for it (Jason) which was very heartening. The tour itself covers a good amount of the city and gardens which gives you a good insight as to planning other activities. Keep up the good work!

Doing what: Vancouver Trolley Hop-on Hop-off Tour

The drivers were especially knowledable and gave us a great understanding of the city. On our 2nd day we got the early trolley that broke down, but they had a replacement trolley to us within 20 minutes. We also found the drivers very friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. The weather was wet and miserable while we were in Vancouver so the trolley is a great way to see everything if the weather is unpleasant.

Doing what: Vancouver Trolley Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Gives you a feel for the city and where you might want to go back to. Not impressed with some of the Trolley drivers. They were older and I wonder if they just don't like their jobs anymore. Had one woman driver and one younger man that were very good. Did not find speakers very clear.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Alain, USA, February 2013
Doing what: Vancouver Trolley Hop-on Hop-off Tour

This was my family's first visit to Vancouver and the trolley tour fell short in several areas.
To start, the trolley schedule posted on Viator's website differs with the actual schedule listed on Vancouver Trolley’s schedule. Due to weather and season we understand there may be differing schedules (one for Winter-Spring, one for Summer-Fall), however, the website didn’t indicate this. This is important because had I known the Vancouver Trolley actually stopped at my hotel (Residence Inn at Marriott) I would not have subjected my family to walk three blocks to catch the trolley at the Holiday Inn Hotel (Howe Street).
Second issue was when the trolley finally arrived, the female driver informed us the trolley was full to capacity. We, along with another family that was next to us, would have to wait 45 minutes for the next trolley. The kicker was when she stated if the next trolley is also full, we couldn’t get on it and that we would have to wait for another one. We were flabbergasted.
Third issue was what Viator advertised was not what was delivered. The website stated there would be a free Granville Island walking tour. There was NO free Granville Island walking tour at all. According to Vancouver Trolley, that’s only done during the warmer seasons. I was told it was too cold in February for them to even consider having a walking tour.
Finally, the trolley didn't even go near Chinatown because it just so happen to be that it was the Chinese New Year and the trolley did not want to go near the New Year parade so we didn’t get to visit or see the Chinatown area.
Needless to say we were very disappointed with both the trolley tour and Viator. Truly disappointing!

Note from Viator: Thank you for your feedback! We are very sorry to hear your experience with your tour was unfavorable. We are looking into correcting any discrepancies on our website between the Summer and Winter schedules. If our customer support team needs any further information from you, they will be emailing you directly. Again, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and hope you were still able to enjoy your time in Vancouver. Happy Travels!

Doing what: Vancouver Trolley Hop-on Hop-off Tour

I highly recommend The Vancouver Trolley Hop-on Hop-off Tour. This was my first time to visit Vancouver from Seattle, WA. I took the Amtrak Train up and walked up to the first Trolley Stop nearest the Station. Thanks to the ability to purchase my ticket online and print it this was really convenient. The guides are all exceptionally helpful. The tour itself is so thorough and covers so much of the city that it enabled me to locate everything I had time to do and I never once needed a cab! I will definitely be coming back to Vancouver and when I do I will use this efficient, easy and I must say enjoyable option for getting to know the City. Thank you, your staff is exceptional!
