Rained most of the day, however, visit to gardens well worth it they were stunning. Ferry ride and bus well organised all on time. Had a great day.
This was an awesome experience!!! So worth the money!!! The room I got had a gorgeous view!!! I would do it all over again!!!! Beautiful!!!
Well worth it. Vicoria is a beautiful city with lots to see and wonderful restaurants to have lunch in.And Butchart Gardens were gorgeous inspite of the rain . Anyway we were never short of umbrellas to keep off the rain as both the bus and the gardens had plenty available
That trip to Vancouver Island, especially our stay in Victoria and at the Butchard gardens belongs to the best things I experienced on my Canada vacation from Montreal and Quebec in the east to Vancouver in the west. If you have the chance to get on this tour you should do it. Our friendly driver and experienced guide found the right balance between giving us the most important information and just let us enjoy our trip. In addition to that, we had blue sky and sunshine all the time. A September day in Canada at its best.
Our guide Brent was terrific--extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Tour was as described, but it's unfortunate that so much of it is spent in transit on bus and ferry. Brent did his best to keep us informed and entertained en route.
A very full day but well worth the effort - quite a bit of the day spent in a bus and on a ferry. Time to wander in Victoria and plenty of time to visit the gardens. Good guide.
The flight to Victoria was very nice. Upon arrival to Victoria there was no one available for local information. What we had was a tourist map of the city that had we were handed prior to the flight that had the place we landed and the bus station circled. We managed to find the Tourist Information building on our own, and found that Butchart Gardens was too distant for a trip there and back before the bus left. There was no mention that ride back to the ferry was 40 minutes which was lost time for us, or that we would not return to Vancouver until 9:30 that night. Also there was a marathon in Victoria that morning, blocking off many of the sights. Upon arrival in Vancouver we were not even sure where in the city we would be dropped off. Luckily the bus driver helped us out. It seems that this time the tour company only acted as a ticket agent providing little guide information.
Doing what: Victoria by Seaplane and Ferry from Vancouver
Enjoyed all the tours. Excellent narration by all tour guides (Andy and Jack of West Coast Sightseeing and Tours). I had lost my Whistler cap in Victoria (at Sam's Deli), but this was promptly recovered by the next tour guide and delivered to my hotel (Best Western) after I reported it. Big thanks for the excellent service. I will remember this trip forever. I highly recommend the 5-day tour for any first-time visitors to Vancouver, BC.
Viator has done it again! I have used Viator many times and have always been pleased. The Victoria and Butchart Gardens tour was great, you just need to adjust the amount of time in each place. Three hours in the gardens and only two hours in Victoria. Land and sea tours are a very professional tour company.
Even though this was a very long day, it was an amazing day! From the moment we were picked up at our hotel until we were dropped back off, we had a wonderful experience. Both driver/guides were friendly, entertaining, and very knowledgeable. This was well worth every penny spent!
Absolutely beautiful. Victoria is a stunning and friendly city, not built out. As for the Butchart Gardens, words cannot describe adequately the beauty of the place. Although they are entering Autumn there were still plenty of blooms to see.
Rene was a great guide and we had an excellent trip!!!!!
FIRST CLASS FROM START TO FINISH, GRAHAM WAS THE PERFECT GUIDE SUCH A NICE YOUNG MAN WITH LOTS OF FACTS AND A LOVELY SENSE OF HUMOR, WE HAD A LOVELY DAY AND GOOD WEATHER, THE TOUR IS NOT CHEAP BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY. DON'T MISS OUT BOOK THE TRIP YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
Butchard gardens was simply the most outstanding garden I've ever seen. Ryan our tour guide was extremely helpful as my wife uses a walker and he went out of his way to assist us.
The trip from Vancouver to Victoria was a very pleasant trip. Our friends traveling we us had never been on a ferry with a tour bus and thought that we would have to move our luggage from the bus to the ferry and then to another bus to get to Victoria. The only improvement we would have liked to see is to have the bus meet as the the dock when we arrived on the cruise ship. I understand that this does happen on some trips but, it would be nice if more trips would included a stop at the dock to meet the ship or if this could be arranged as required. Overall, the trip was great!
