Doing what: Skip the Line: St Mark's Square Highlights Tour
This tour was also provided by the same company as our Doge's Palace tour. We had a great guid, it was just unfortunate that the headsets they used were substandard

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
We were very disappointed with this tour. It was not a venice walking tour, we only toured the Doges Palace. The tourguide did not give any background information or historical acccount of wwho the Doges were. It was more like an architectural tour. We had no idea about the relavance of the palace, who were the Doges, what was their role in society, etc. We found out that this same guide gave a walking tour of Venice in the morning and in that morning tour she explains all of the stuff that we were missing. So this tour should be titled "Continuation of morning tour" or something like that because the current title is misleading.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
This was a very informative tour. The guide was very knowledgable. I understood this was a Venice Walking Tour BUT it was only a tour of the Doges Palace -- nothing else was include. we were disappointed. 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
The tour would be fine for history and government buffs but we found it dry and boring. I don't know how much of that was the fault of the guide and how much was that the Doge's palace has no furniture. We spent most of the time looking at walls and ceilings.

Doing what: Skip the Line: St Mark's Square Highlights Tour
If you go to St Mark's Square I would recomend this tour. No queing, the Basilica is fantastic. You can hear everything the rep. sayes because of the earpiece that you are provided with. It was very interesting the facts about the history not boreing at all. We did the one hour tour but would have liked to carry on to the Doge Palace mabe next time. Just a note if you have a drink in the square afterwards they charge extra to listen to the music it is 12euro + drinks

Doing what: Skip the Line: St Mark's Square Highlights Tour
The main value of this tour is skipping the line. Otherwise you could probably do this on your own with the help of a downloaded audio tour or travel books. The guide shared useful information however we spent very little time actually in St. Marks Basillica. Also, when the tour concluded it really should have ended inside the basillica rather than in the square. This would have given others not going on to the Doge's Palace tour a chance to really appreciate St. Mark's. Once we left we were unable to enter again without paying and standing in line. Photos were not permitted inside the basillica, so we would have liked to visit the church gift shop to purchase post cards. We couldn't find any other place that sold pictures of the basillica's interior. Staying inside the basillica was never given as an option. If you do decide to go into the church, be sure to pay the extra few euros to go back behind the altar. It's worth a look!

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
Our tour consisted of four people, plus the lovely, lively, highly knowledgeable tour guide. We got to see parts of the Doges Palace that most people never see. It was fascinating and fun. Highly recommended.

Doing what: Skip the Line: St Mark's Square Highlights Tour
Wonderful skip the line tour of the inside of the basilica, including the golden icon picture behind the altar. Out guide was very knowledgeable and was patient in responding to the numerous questions from some of the tourists. Highly recommended. Don't miss the Doge's Palace afterward.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
The tour guide really made the difference and the one we had was great, very energetic and just kept going. She gave us a lot of information and showed us things we would never be able to see by ourselves. By the way, this tour is mainly inside the Doges Palace.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
An excellent tour, a full two hours packed with information on the Doges Palace. It was fantastic to be able to visit some of the tiny back rooms of the palace to see where the real business of the city was done and to compare them then to the grandness of the great public halls.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
The tour guide spoke English fluently and had a great deal of information to provide to us about the Doges Palace. She pointed out and explained details that we simply would not have noticed if we had been relying upon a tour book. The secret parts of the tour were amazing to see and the general public does not have access to these areas. This is a worthwhile addition to the tour and something that cannot be seen without an organized tour.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace
Doge's Palace really touched me. It was out of this world experience. Seeing Cassanova's cell, and all the hidden secrets which Venice had to offer. You can't go past this tour. Our tour guide was absolutely superb!! Very informative.
