Doing what: Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

The Gondola ride in Venice was very romantic and breathtaking. We were lucky enough to have the accordian player and singer on our gondola. They were both excellent and just added to the wonderful experience of our Gondola ride. I would highly recommended this tour and Viator.

Doing what: Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

Wasn't too great, when it mentions Serenade, should of mentioned it wasn't on your boat but with about 20 other boats - the Grand Canal part was only 5 mins then back. Wastn't the best trip I have booked.

Don't do this trip! It was crowded, rushed, and the tour guide was rude. Admittedly she had to communicate everything 5 times over [the our was in 5 different languages] which must have been stressful, but she was very off-hand from the start. The microphone volume was cranked right up to compete with the boat engine noise [extreme - my son said he felt like his ears were bleeding by the trip end].
We got shuttled straight into a glass making demo which was fascinating but too brief, then into the showrooms where we had been told there would be discounts. The glass was much cheaper on the main island!
Torcello was peaceful and lovely but a 10 minute walk from the jetty to the village, leaving only 20 mins to see the museum and beautiful old church.
My time again? I'd take a ferry to these islands independently. They are definitely worth seeing, but you just don't need the experience we had!

I loved the Gondola ride and we were lucky enough to be in the gondola that the serenaders were in. Everyone along the canals was stopping to listen to the music as we went by and smiling and waving at us.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Venice in One Day

First timers so we chosethis tour based on other reviews...SPOT ON! This was excellent, we skipped the lines, you will appreciate thatwhen you show up and there is a line extedning to the canal! It is in two parts one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so plan accordingly (we grabbed lunch) Both of our guides spoke fluent English, and very proud of thier Ventian Heritage and it showed in thier enthusiasm...I Highly recommned this tour!

This tour was ok. We were dropped off at Torcello and told to walk 8 minutes to the church. Once at the church, you turned around and walked back (with no explanation of what you just saw). On Murano we were whisked into a 10 minute glass blowing display and then quickly rushed out (as the next group was waiting) into their shop where 15 sales people pounced. We were then taken to Burano, famous for its lace, where again you were whisked into a small room for a demonstration. We decided to skip the demo and went into the village itself (about 2 minute walk). Lots of stalls and small shops selling souvenirs. I would probably visit these islands on my own as we bought a 72 hour boat pass for $38 euro each.

the tour guide was extremely knowledgable and walked at a pace comfortable to everyone. The maze we were taken on was full of history.

The scenary was spectacular and the driver kept us entertained. It was good to get out of the old cities and see more of the country side
