Great way to start our time in Venice the tour and guide helped put Venice into context and encouraged us to explore even more

Doing what: Venice Walking Tour and Gondola Ride

The walking part of the tour was excellent. We saw parts of the city we would never have had the opportunity to see, and our guide was a wealth of information, and brought the city to life, as we walked.
The Gondola ride was also fun, and the short trip gave you a flavour of travelling the canal in style.
Good value for money, and one trip I would reccomend to be done.

The walking tour was interesting, informative and enlightening. Although my wife and I had already walked round many of the streets on the tour we learned and saw things that under normal circumstances we would have missed. The gondola ride at the end of the tour was an essential experience as was the tour itself

A very interesting touur. Very pleasant and knowledgable guide. Only six people on the tour which made it intimate and meant there was no need for earphones. Only downside was the time. We had to be at the meeting point at 8.45 am, which I felt was too early.

The guide decided we should take the gondola before the walking tour - there were no gondolas availbale so we had to wait 20 mins in the freezing cold for a gondola, he didn't let us know what was going on or how long we would be waiting, the gondoliers were surly and didn't speak however the experience once we did get going was worth the money and the lady who took the walking tour was informative and approachable. Overall worth doing and we saw some places we wouldn't have found on our own.

A lot was packed into the morning session. Marina, our guide was very knowledgeable. I wish I had known you can't take backpacks into the Museum before the day trip as I could easily have had a small bag instead. It was quite a long walk at end of tour to retrieve my bag and this wasted time. I travelled on my own and lost the group in the crowd. It was disappointing that the guide was more concerned about the Whisper system being lost.

The afternoon tour really complimented the morning tour. Rachel, the tour guide was very animated and knowledgeable. It's a shame that she made a less than subtle hint about receiving a tip.

We had a mixed experience here. The organisation was immaculate and the guide was extremely interesting and well-informed. It was good to visit lesser known parts of Venice. The gondola ride was slightly disappointing. Maybe we were unlucky but our gondolier hardly spoke to us and spent most of the 40 minutes conversing with the gondoliers behind us!

Good easy way to get tour bearings and see the main sights. Guide a little strange couldn't always understand the point of her commentary.

Unfortunately it absolutely poured during our walking tour, making it incredibly difficult to pay attention to the tour guide. She did a fabulous job in the conditions. Interesting information about the Venice architecture. Thankfully we were able to reschedule our gondola ride for the following day
