This was a wonderful tour, the guide spoke 4 languages, her english was very good. This was one of our favorite tours we did in Italy.
Great way to quickly get a view of theses beautiful islands. The 45 mins is a bit too short on murano and Burano so you will need to go back and spend more time there. Boat trip in itself is interesting with a good multi language commentary
Excellent but a bit rushed at each island. Would have liked to have eaten at one of the many great looking restaurants on Burano but did not have enough time.
The tour itself is fantastic value and saves you having to navigate on public transport, however the time spent on each of the three islands was not enough (roughly 40 mins each). If you just want a quick look at what each has to offer then this is fine, but we did feel that we wanted longer on Burano, and will go back in the future.
The biggest problem was due to this being a multi language tour, and the guide was showing off to the new trainee! We had to ENDURE her shouting over the speaker system in about five different languages for an hour!! She even spoke in Spanish although NO ONE on the tour was Spanish because the new trainee asked!
Many people on the trip we're moaning about the noise, and this did sour the trip slightly.
TIP: take some ear plugs!
I personally did not like the tour that much. I expected a tour guide to tell us more about the places we visit. What we got is a few words of explanation on the boat. Basically we paid 20 euro only for transportation to the islands. It would have been better if we just went there with public transport and check the islands on our own. Torcello is not worth visiting at all.
If you are going on this tour just to do it and say, you've been there done that, then this is for you. If you are going on this tour to learn something, then I would not do it. Also, the tour guide speaks various languages, which is impressive. However, you get maybe a sentence in English, then she moves into another language, saying the same sentence. We both stopped listening after a while. I wish I would have gone for the more expensive tour. Since this is so cheap, I can't complain too much.
The tour was great and it gave us a taster of thing which we could return to and look at in our own time, the guide was great and very informative
Good tour of a range of interesting places around Venice.
The boat that took us had windows in very high position so while the guide were telling us about the view we need to stand up and see what is there...
Murano and glass show was OK,
in Burano we did not have time to eat something nice, and in Torcellini either...
But the islands are nice, and enjoyable
The guide and the staff were kind and helpfull
This tour was simply wonderful. It was a great way to see the islands and what they have to offer.
Excellent trip with the islands all completely different; Murano - glass making, quiet and peaceful ; Burano - very pretty with coloured houses;Torcello - a wonderful church but not much else. Well organised, my only gripe being that the tour guide spoke so quickly and with such a strong accent that I could not understand much of what she said.
This tour was ok, time was given in the three islands and it was enough for each island. Everything went on schedule altough it was raining - good management of timing. The guide spoke in English, French, Italian and Spanish, but her Spanish accent was so strong (she was Spanish) that we couldn't understand everything. Fortunately we speak all 4 languages and were able to pick information in the 4 languages and put it together. She was nice and the boat staff also very nice. There was not much contact with them since she only spoke when in the boat. No local explanations in the islands are made - all the info is given in the boat before arriving to each island. The visit and explanation at the glass factory (made by the locals) were amazing. I would have rated it better if the language skills were better - grammar was good but the accent was too strong. A guide has to speak a language correctly in order to be well understood. All in all it was nice, although it was raining. The price is very good for what it includes - it is a good way to know all three islands for a good price.
Nice tour. The only down bit was that the tour leader did not stopppp talking all the way from one island to another ( sometimes for a whol 20 minutes non stop) in four different languages. It was just too much!! Nearly gave me a headache. Islands are nice though.
Glad we did this tour . We have been to Venice several times but never visited Murano . This was too short and the shop was selling items that were cheaper in Venice ! Suggest you get your glass there . Torcello was enchanting - so peaceful and Burano is worth a day on its own . Cruising the lagoon was delightful as we enjoyed views which can't be seen from the land . The discount was worth having and good value .
loved it! worth every penny.Really enjoyed the glass factory at Murano.A bit rushed at times but a must if you in Venice.
