The trip to Versailles was one of the absolute highlights of our weekend in Paris - and well worth the early morning start. We were greeted by Gilles and the driver - both of whom were incredibly charming. The guided tour was superb - our guide was extremely knowledgable and we really got an indepth insight into the history of the Palace. Seeing all the rooms normally closed to the public was fantastic - we really did get our very own private viewing. This was particularly appreciated when we did go out into the public acces areas to see just how crowded they were! The gardens are absolutely stunning, and I'm sure you could spend a good couple of hours exploring there as well (unfortunately it was pouring with rain when we went so we didn't really fancy it!). Highly recommended!

I am very satisfied with our tour guide and the place. It is highly recommended to visit this place. You need to spend the whole day to see the beautiful palace and garden. I learned a lot of things from our tour guide.

Got an early start prior to being able to get breakfast but upon arrive we were able to grab a bite to eat which was greatly appreciated. The guide who took us through was amazing in his knowledge. It was very nice to see the private quarters. We went on a weekend when they had the fountains turned on. Toughest choice was weather to stay inside or walk the gardens. One must spend time in the amazing gardens. A great trip!

Great tour, magnificent palace and gardens, friendly and informative guide. The queues were fairly long, so it was worth it from that point of view. Would highly recommend.

Very good. Small groups are so much nicer. Lots of walking so you need to be up to it. (Reasonably long walk from station plus around expansive gardens and Palace then walk back to station)

Great tour of the palace with lots of free time to explore the estate, loved the hamlet was so beautiful and peaceful. The fountain show was great! Our guide was young, friendly and seemed to have a great interest and knowledge of the estate, would recommend to others :)
