Doing what: Skip the Line: Versailles Half-Day Tour

This was a good way to see Versailles. Our guide got us started early so we could see a lot before the crowds were too thick. She was very knowledgeable and helpful answering questions.

WOW! Great time and the guide was very entertaining!

Enjoyed the drive to Versailles as well as the tour. Our guide did a great job giving us information and keeping our group together, even amongst the large crowd visiting at the same time we did.

Out tour guide did the best as he could, but the area is overrun with multiple tour groups and the people running the palace haven't figured out how to easily handle them.

Really enjoyed this tour. We did the half day which we felt was plenty of time to visit the palace. Our tour guide was great and really informative in a fun and interesting way.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Versailles Full-Day Tour

Great value especially the jump the line aspect as there are always queues to get into Versailles. We took the train which takes about 1 hour is isn't that expensive. The Railway Station at Versailles is directly opposite the office where you meet up with the guide.
Our guide (Anise) was very good, taking her time to explain the various aspects of the palace and gardens. I would certainly recommend this tour.

This tour was very interesting and worth the trip.

Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show

Pleasant afternoon tour, a lot of people in our tour group, maybe too many but we got through in just enought time.

Our guide was very knowledgeable but this was not my favorite tour. We had a large group (split into two for touring the palace) which made for some slow movement and delays that I found annoying. I learned after Versailles is an easy train ride from Paris and if I were to go again I would get there by train, rent an audio tour on-site and visit at my leisure. Oh, and only caught 1 minute of the musical fountain show which was something I had been looking forward to seeing.

Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show

the tour was rushed

awesome! another tour i recommended my friends to take... we were so happy with this tour that when we were in line at notre dame, we couldn't stop talking about it.. and 2 separate couples came up to us and wanted us to write down your website on a piece of napkin so they could look you up later that evening...

The problem with this tour is the lack of crowd control at Versailles. I believe that Viator and others should refuse to go there while the operators of the palace allow far too many people into the rooms. Walking through the Apartments and Hall of Mirrors was like spending an hour inside a rugby scrum. I was not possible to appreciate the rooms because there was a solid mass of people pushing and pushing. The guide tried to explain what was there but it was not possible to look at the things she was pointing out. The gardens were beautiful and the guide gave us a good look at the highlights in the allotted time.

Entrance into Versailles was backed up even though our group had reservations, so we had to wait outside in the rain for an hour. Not the tour guides fault but be aware if you have a tight schedule. Overall it was a wonderful tour and interesting place to visit. I wish it wasn't raining so we could have visited the gardens.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Versailles Full-Day Tour

Our visit to Versailles happened to coincide with a bout ot cold, winds and heavy rains but it was still a beautiful time. Our visit was made all the better by our wonderful guide, Marion. This was a wonderful day trip from our home base in Paris. We had a lovely lunch in one the restaurants on the grounds and walked the rest of the estate visiting all of the other sights and buildings and took some amazing pictures. Thank you Viator for this wonderful opportunity.

Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show

Absolutely fantastic, if it wasn't for the rain and heavy wind. So we stayed inside the castle which indeed is something extra.
