Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris
Our driver Pascal was excellent. He took us to all of the sites on our tour(OMAHA and Gold Beachs). He gave us a very extensive tour and history at these places. We also received tickets to the War museum in Caen. First rate museum that gave us extensive history of pre war years to the wars years themselves and finally the post war years up until now(after WWI-WWII-POST WAR YEARS).

We had a great time. Our driver was very pleasant and chatted with us about Paris while we were traveling to and from Versailles. It was extra nice to be picked up at the hotel since we hadn't mastered the subway system yet. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Very cool! The only reason I gave it a 4 star was there were so many people there in the afternoon that it was hard to get a decent picture without everyone's heads in it. I think Louis XIV had such opulent tastes that this is a must see for everyone!

Excellant tour. Wonderful getting picked up at our hotel. Our driver was excellant. Had lots of stories to tell us. There were only six of us in this group, so that was great! The only thing we missed was the beautiful gardens in full bloom because it was so early in the spring, but I imagine if we went in the summer there would be a million people there.

This trip was fine but I thought we got a tour guide for Versailles. But we only had him for the trip from Paris to Versailles and an audio guide in Versailles. It would have been better with a real tour guide.

There were four English speakers and two Portuguese speakers on this tour and the tour guide allowed the Portuguese to dominate the conversation to the exclusion of others. One would have thought that with four people speaking English the guide would have suggested the Portuguese use the audio guide in their language, but he chose to do the opposite, leaving four of us to our own devices.
He was an hour late turning up to collect us and and hour and a half late delivering us back to our hotel, compromising other arrangements we had made for the evening.

Our tour guide "Adrian" ruined what should have been a great tour. As we stepped off the bus he handed us our ear pieces and before most of us had even turned them on, he was off - walking away from the group. Most of us caught him up at the security checkpoint, where you have to go through the xray machine one at a time. There was over 20 people in our group so by the time the last 10 of us had got through security, Adrian and the other half of the tour was no where to be seen. He showed no interest in keeping his group together, at one stage we could all hear him saying "God, I've only got 3 of you now!!" Over half his tour spent 45 mins looking for him. The Palace was so busy you had to push and shove through each room making even finding Adrian difficult. At the end of the palace tour a couple of lucky tour members were told by Adrian where to be at what time to get the bus back. This information had to filter through whispers to the rest of us meaning that after waiting for over 35 mins to use a toilet, we nearly missed the bus. This tour was a joke and a complete waste of money.

Really great way to get to versallies, out driver have us some interesting facts about the history of the palace and royal family. Didn't have to wait hours in a cue, but where able to sightsee at on pace.

Our tour guide to Versailles was great. He was very punctual and sharing his knowledge of Versailles was really appreciated and very interesting regarding the lifestyles of the royals. Lunch was good and enjoyable.

Our guide was very friendly, knew his stuff but at the same time entertaining and funny. Earpieces helped as it gets a bit crowded at some rooms. Lunch was better than expected,which was nice. Hotel pickup and dropoff = definitely a plus. Tip: don't booo 2 walking tours in a day, Uber tiring!

Our tour guide was very knowledgable and fun. The only negative was the time of year we chose to go.....they were doing a lot of construction and refurbishing so the fountains and grounds were not as magnificent as they could be. The tour and lunch were wonderful.
