Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show
Versailles was amazing and definitely worth seeing. This tour included transportación to and from a central point in Paris. The tour itself once on site was a bit brief and while they let you look around a while on your own, all in all not enough time and not enough background info provided.

Well, to be honest my husband and i were pretty disappointed in this tour. The tour guide spoke english but the way she spoke about the gardens and palace was broken and didn't flow like a story. Numerous times we asked her to speak up and she said she couldn't. Not very good for the money.

Unimpressed with the company - not recommended. Arrived at 8am for a 8:30 leaving time.Instead waited on bus until 9:20 am before leaving bus terminal. Arrival 10:15 spent the next 1/2 hour being broken into groups with headsets.Left 90mins to explore.

Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show
Very unorganised, this was a 4 hour tour over 3 of these hours were spent sitting on a bus waiting to leave the station, the travel to the palace and walking around by yourself. The guided tour was between 40-50 mins long. Don't bother with this tour waste of time and money.

Despite Rain and cold weather, this was a real find. The guide was great at providing us with a sense of the history and how we might be received in court at Versailles. Easy to get to and would love to see more in the Spring. A must and very accessible from the city.

This is probably the best way to get the full experience that Versailles has to offer. Our guide was great. He was enthusiastic and knowledgable. I highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the Paris area.

This is a good tour which we found enjoyable. As it was November we only had 6 people on our tour but I believe they can have up to 30 in summer. we were fitted with ear pieces to make hearing the guide easy even in a large group.

Doing what: Versailles and Giverny Day Trip
My mother and I enjoyed another day with our guide from the 25th, Yvonne. She pointed out interesting facts as we rode through the old Norman town of Vernon, and as she led us through the misty rain to Monet's home and garden. We especially liked the way that she pronounced, then spelled, the various names, and we felt that she was very knowledgeable. At Versailles, we were in awe of our surroundings and could almost relate to life of Marie Antoinette, either from Yvonne's description or the fact that we had recently watched Hollywood's most recent version of "Marie Antoinette!"

What an awesome day. My daughter and I took this tour and we weren't disappointed.
we travelled by train to versailles where we hopped onto a bike and rode through the town to the open air market to purchase supplies for lunch. then off riding through the spectacular gardens of Versailles. We wouldn't have been able to see the gardens if we hadn't taken this tour. We ate our lunch by the canal. The gardens are beautiful, then we took our time viewing the palace and the grounds of the palace. A great tour and a great day out.
