Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris
Our tour guide was very knowledgable and fun. The only negative was the time of year we chose to go.....they were doing a lot of construction and refurbishing so the fountains and grounds were not as magnificent as they could be. The tour and lunch were wonderful.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Versailles Palace in One Day including French Market and Grand Canal Picnic
Loved every minute of this trip. It went at a nice leisurely pace and our guide, Niamh was very personable and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to be there on one of the musical fountain days so it was quite magical. Lunch was delicious and there was plenty of time for us to have a ride in a rowboat on the Grand Canal. An excellent day out.

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris
This was a very good day trip to Versailles, well worth the fee charged. Pickup at the hotel was prompt. The driver/guide (Helene, I think) was a competent driver and fun to be with. She gave very clear instructions as to where to be and how much time we had to wander by ourselves. Our entrance to the castle, although very congested, was eased by our status as a guided group. The tour of the interior was very good. I had expected a picnic/style lunch, so was surprised and pleased by lovely full meal in attractive restaurant, le Petit Venice. We had plenty of time to wander the gardens and enjoy the fountains and music, such a pleasant wander after the congestion of the castle. Our visits to the Grand and Petit Trianons were informative and very interesting. We had lots of time to enjoy Marie Antoinette's farm. A lovely day! Being part of a small group is very comfortable, all the details are arranged for you and you meet some new friends. I would have no hesitation in recommending this day trip.

Doing what: Viator VIP: Palace of Versailles Small-Group Tour with Private Viewing of the Royal Quarters
Got an early start prior to being able to get breakfast but upon arrive we were able to grab a bite to eat which was greatly appreciated. The guide who took us through was amazing in his knowledge. It was very nice to see the private quarters. We went on a weekend when they had the fountains turned on. Toughest choice was weather to stay inside or walk the gardens. One must spend time in the amazing gardens. A great trip!

Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show
Although you could spend days at Versailles, this half day tour was more than sufficient for us. I would highly recommend the fountain tour as it allowed better insight into the grandeur of Versailles and its gardens. Our guide was delightful and her dry sense of humour made the time even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show
Although we did not get the Fountain show due to the time of the year, the gardens were beautiful. The tour guide knew her stuff and was very friendly. The personal earphones for the tour in English worked out very well. Got to see all that we came for and loved it. The bus trip was okay as Versailles is an hour outside Paris. We took a nap even though the guides were talking. Would do it again.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Versailles because doing it on foot is unthinkable! We were also lucky to have hit Culture Day many areas were open and free: Trianon feat. an art exhibit, Marie Antoinette's hamlet/farm. The biking is not as strenuous as the Paris night bike tour. The best part is picking out food at the morning market and picnicking along the canal. Wished I'd gotten more grapes at the market! Remember to bring napkins!! Our guide Stu gave a very engaging history of the many Louis to the end of Napoleonic era and a lot was to be learned. It was unfortunate the fountains had turned off by the time I reached it--we also only had 1.5 hours to tour the actual palace and with so many ppl coming during Culture Day, I shuffled quickly through the rooms and missed the famous Napoleon portrait!

Doing what: Versailles Guided Tour with Optional Fountain Show
Wonderful tour of the fountains and gardens! I would have liked to do it at a little slower pace however. There was so much information it was hard to take it all in.

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris
Our guide arrived on time, was very courteous and friendly, she gave us a history of the palace prior to when we got there, so we would have a bit of a heads up to what we were seeing. The tour was great, your given FREE audio tour devices and can stroll amongst the palace and grounds at your own leisure. The garden was absolutely fantastic, would say if you have the time, please check out Versailles on the weekend, so you can see the fountains going.

Doing what: Versailles Walking Tour with Optional Fountain Show
This tour was simply great. It is impossible to see Versailles in less than a day, so I would not even bother with a half-day tour. Our guide, Pascale, was very knowledgeable, her English was perfect, and I just had a terrific time. I learned so much about the kings and French history in general. The fountain show was beautiful. The tour does involve quite a bit of walking, so wear comfortable shoes!
