The Viator tour is the best way to see the Gardens with the easy shuttle-like service during the summer. It can get crowded when Cruiseships are in port, but its still worth a visit. There are plenty of areas to check out - Sunken Garden (our favorite), Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Star Pond, Italian Garden, Piazza, Ross Fountain and even the boat launch area is very cool at Butchart Cove.

Outstanding tour! Our tour guide was very knowlegable of the Victoria area. Butchart Gardens was as pretty in the fall as in summer. I would recommend the tour to everyone!

Doing what: Butchart Gardens Tour from Victoria

Although I booked the noon pick-up for the Butchart Gardens, I was able to get on an earlier bus. It's nice that they are flexible with the time, as it makes it very convenient for the traveler. During the bus trip to the Gardens, the driver gives you some history and interesting facts regarding Victoria and the Butchart Gardens. That is the "tour" portion.

Doing what: Butchart Gardens Tour from Victoria

This is the best and easiest way to see Butchart Gardens from Victoria. Everything is included in the price, including your entrance tickets – just sit back and enjoy the ride on a new and clean motorcoach. Our Driver Dave was very nice and provided some city history and highlights on the way the Gardens. You can choose to return on any of the shuttles back to Victoria, so you can stay for any length of time that you want. This made our visit very relaxing as we didn’t need to “hurry” to catch a specific departure. Don’t make the mistake of taking a Taxi – they are very expensive since its 30 mins each way from Victoria City Center.

Doing what: Butchart Gardens Tour from Victoria

We tied this tour in with a seaplane flight from Vancouver as we only had a day to visit the island. The tour was extremely good with just the right amount of time allowed at Butchart Gardens to take in all beauty of the scenery there. A highly recommended tour that can be done on a day visit from Vancouver.

Doing what: Butchart Gardens Tour from Victoria

We were concerned about making our 200 pm tour to Butchart Gardens because we were taking the 1215 ferry from Port Angeles and had to first stow our luggage at our hotel. We couldn't have been more pleased when we were greeted upon arrival in Victoria by reps who took our luggage to our hotel and pointed us to a bus that would take us to the starting point for our tour. The Gardens were magnificent and the whole experience was wonderful.

Doing what: Butchart Gardens Tour from Victoria

Our family enjoyed the trip to the Butchart Gardens. They always are working to keep the plants healthy with a few in bloom. It was nice to have tickets prior to our trip. Nice for those who like to plan ahead.
