the travel on the passenger ferry from Victoria to Seattle was very good, plenty of room to move around plenty of staff on hand to help you with anything, free tea and coffee was appreciated, the terminal in Victoria not big enough for everyone waiting there for the ferry, overall a lovely journey and would reccomend this way to travel to Seattle.
The most enyable ferry ride i have ever taken in my 55 yrs of living.wonderfull people and wonder full service.ty
I really enjoyed the ferry. It was a very smooth trip. My only comment is to advise other travelers that there is, in fact, a taxi stand at the exit from the ferry in Seattle. I tried to find this info in advance, but was unsuccesful. Next time, I will take a taxi to my final destination instead of imposing on a friend for my ride.
Also, it owuld be nice if I could buy a cup of coffee ($1) without having to use my credit card!
The disembarkation was extremely well run and I appreciate the fact that employees were waiting at the exit to check baggage claims against the tagged bags.
enjoyed the trip. The ferry was comfortable anad the staff friendly and helpful.
Very comfortable transport between Victoria and Seattle. Would highly recommend the high speed ferry.
Excellent trip on a very comfortable ferry. Our only criticism is it took nearly an hour to clear customs in Victoria to get on the boat.
This ferry was fast and efficient. The seating was adequate with good views throughout the trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was that the choice on menu was somewhat limited.
Two things which wer not in the control of the ferry company were the weather (cloudy, rainy - no view) and the terminal in Victoria which is third world (at least there were no chickens walking through as there used to be in Beef Island Airport in Virgin Gorda, BVI). The service was excellent and efficient.
WE had a lovely trip on the Victoria Clipper. Everything was very clean and everyone did a great job both getting us on the ferry and off and even had a place to store our luggage when we arrived in Seattle. I would definitely use this service again.
The ferry was a great way to make the trip from Canada to the US, taking me literally door to door from the centre of Victoria to downtown Seattle. The service on the ferry was good considering the large number of travellers. The only downside was the rather cramped space for getting through customs in Victoria which made queuing a bit tedious.
Planned to take the ferry as a bit of an extra experience for my Mother-in-law, but with the revised start time it devolved into merely getting from A to B.
Nice fast trip! The Ferry is cash less, so no time to spend the last CAD.
The web site was extremely difficult to use, and would not let us book a one way passage from Victoria to Seattle. We finally called a week before our trip and found out that the trip we wanted was sold out. Bummer. So we had to re-arrange our trip so we could take the ferry at a different time.
Also, the waiting room in Victoria was very dingy and crowded. Once we got onto the ferry it was fine
The trip was pleasant enough and the staff were quite accomodating.................BUT......they do not allocate seats!!! We booked this ferry months in advance and to arrive at the wharf and find that you had to fight for a seat, ridiculous...some people, including some our our party, had to be taken upstairs to the crew quarters because there were not enough seats !!!! Simple solution, allocate seats when you book your tickets. Wouldnt recommend this becuase of this, too difficult !!
My first and last time ever taking this ferry. I had booked a month in advance to take the ferry on Boxing Day. They changed the sailing time from 1700 to 1400. I received no notification. I had to call into them in order to learn this. I was 3.5 hours north of Victoria so this change of 3 hours was a huge problem. Considering this was Christmas and travelling was key to being with family during this time, this change and the way it was handled was pretty poor in my opinion. I had to drive like a maniac and incur an extra $75 to take a taxi from the airport to the ferry terminal. So I busted my hump to get there on time, and then they decide to delay the ferry departure because the "weather system is moving slower than they thought." So then yet another phone call to the people picking me up in Seattle to change the time yet again. I understand the desire to allow more 1700 people to get there on time, but what about the people that busted their hump and spent $$$ to get there on time? It just seemed that everyone lost they way it was handled.
The ferry itself was fine. Staff was very friendly.
Arrival was terribly slow. We disembarked and waited in line outside for 30 minutes while a single guy unloaded the luggage.
Overall, way too stressful and too little regard for the customer to travel this way again.
