Visiting Victoria from Vancouver

The capital of British Columbia, Victoria is very much worth the trip out from Vancouver, which is only about 100 km (62 miles) away.

One of the most famous reasons to head to Vancouver Island (not Victoria Island, as it’s often called) is to see the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 55-acre garden paradise just a short drive away. The attraction has ancient trees, a carousel, rose gardens, fountains, ponds, winding paths for contemplation and fabulous fireworks displays every summer Saturday.
