it was a fantastic day trip which included a visit to the small but lovely towns of krems and Melk. Our trip included a free lunch en route to the Melk abbey. The views along the danube were fascinating. our tour guide offered information about the important sites along the way to wachau valley.

The tour is fantastic. The scenery is simply breathtaking and I was lucky enough to schedule my trip on the last day the boat trip on the Danube was offered for the season. The foliage, both in the forest and the vineyards was gorgeous. I just wish the boat trip could have started a bit earlier.

This is a very good day trip from Vienna. I loved having the chance to see some of the Austrian countryside and take a ride down the Danube. Melk was impressive , the village itself is charming, the view is wonderful. The day itself was cloudy and cool - it would be a great trip in the sunshine. Guide a bit bored with the whole deal.

Weather was cold and rainy and that kept us cooped up inside during the Danube river cruise. Abbey was nice. But, group was too large. Would have enjoyed it better in a smaller group.

Disappointing compared to other tours we've taken. Pros: The scenery along the Danube was terrific and the Melk Abbey tour was excellent. Cons: Our tour bus included people with 3 languages so our guide was constantly switching between the 3. It was confusing, we probably didn't get all the information usually provided, and the guide was hoarse 1/2 way through trip. In addition, the Danube River boat was badly overbooked with multiple tour groups. Our bus was late getting to the dock area so there were no seats left and even standing room was packed tightly. We stood for the entire 1 1/2 hour trip up the river. At least the day was sunny and cool, and the scenery great.

The Danube Valley is a must see if you are interested in wine, castles and monestries. However the boat cruise was ordinary. Every one was pushing to get a table as we boarded the boat, staff on the boat were disorganised and rude when serving customers. I took 25 min to get a simple coffee. If the upstairs coffee shop was open it probably would have solved the problem. The tour guide was great and informative of the area how ever he was not able to guide us on the boat and I had no Idea what we were cruising past.

Bus trip---guide spoke everything in 3 languages and after a while you tuned out. Danube trip was boring and you couldn’t hear the pre-recorded info about the different sites. 20 minutes spent in the Loch was too long.

This was the most amazing tour we took while in Vienna. Andre and Amy, our tour guides, were great always making sure the pack stayed together and teaching us a lot about the Valley. The bike ride was extremely enjoyable and easy 99.5% of the time. The wine, the scenery, the Valley, the plantations, the Danube river: all simply AMAZING. Our trip to the Danube Valley was on a marvelous hot and sunny day. It was absolutely beautiful! Our guide was great and very knowledgable and helpful at all times. I really enjoyed my day out and would definitely recommend this tour!

This tour is the best way to see the Danube wine region. This is about a 20 mile trip but the riding is broken up so it doesn't feel that long. Would highly recommend!

It was a nice trip with equally supportive weather. The tour guide was available all the way till Melk. The cruise ride across Danube and the tour of the castle was absolutely fabulous.
