This was a most enjoyable tour. However we got off to a bad start because of the location of the Mercure Zentrum hotel which has 2 properties (or rather their property is divided into to separate areas) and the pick up vehicle was at the other one from which we were staying, in spite of being told. So we missed the trip on the scheduled day and were offered the next day in compensation. The guide really "knew her stuff" and jumping the line at Schonbrunn was a genuine bonus.

The tour was conducted in multiple languages and was perhaps too short for us based on all that there is too see and learn about in Vienna. Consequently it was focused on pointing out landmarks, high level history and could not go into great detail or provide interesting information about the current day, people, etc. We like a balance of history and learning about the culture and daily life as well. This is tough for a guide when she needs to share info quickly in multiple languages.

Not sure that driving past a couple of places really qualifies as a "historical city tour". The visit to the palace was good albeit limited.

Snobby guide with an attitude. Not at all informative. Would have been better off taking subway and using audio tour.

Was not a city tour more like a drive through the city on route to the palace. The groups were too large very impersonal should really be max of 10 to 12. Very rushed not enough time should be full day trip with half walking tour old town and half palace.

What can I say, Viator seem to have cornered the market for perfection, the staff were just wonderful, my wife and I had a lovely lovely trip, really good value for money, our courier did not miss anything, Thanks Viator.
