The cycle tour was a great way to see the highlights of central Vienna. I certainly recommend the tour but I would make the following 2 points which seem to appear on other reviews:
1. Some participants still went to the wrong corner of the Opera house, the tour waited for them and caused everybody to lose 30 minutes of the tour.
2. Initially we were told that 2 guides would take us but at the last minute only one guide looked after 15 people (mostly German) so the commentary was then predominantly in German and there was no translation of the answers given the time shortage.

Great way to see Vienna! All 3 loops can be done in a day or 2 if you get off at each stop, but most things on the "red ring" loop are within walking distance...

I booked this tour believing that it had a lot of potential, but I was seriously disappointed with the outcome. While the tour visits many of Vienna's must see destinations, the guide is useless unless you speak German. I would have liked the option for an English only tour as I spent most of the tour waiting for the guide to translate from German to English, for which she barely gave the English speaking minority a second thought. All I can say is that this tour was a disappointing way to spend my €'s.

I would skip this tour. The tour buses are hard to find, the personnel controlling the buses were rude and the strict schedule means you don't get full value for your money.
Just wander around on your own.

A ticket which enables one to use all three lines makes it possible to get a feel for Vienna and see most of the "must see/must visit" locations.

The three separate yet overlaping (right downtown at the Opera House) lines of the Hop-on Hop-off bus in Vienna provide excellent coverage of about anything you'd want to do/see in this 5th most visited city in the world (a fact I learned on the informative narration on the bus). During the summer, buses are leaving very often (15 mins dowtown and 30 mins for the other loops) which makes utilization of your ticket easy.

We loved this tour. There are 3 different loops the buses make that give you a real feel for the City. We used it to get the "lay of the land" and then to hop off and spend more time at some sites. There are headsets with many different languages. It was great.

Well worth it. While you can pretty much walk every where that the tour takes you, it was a good way to get a lay of the city and all of the possibilities of what to see/do.
