Very nice day trip. Especially enjoyed the scenery from the boat and visiting the monastery. The restaurant had delicious food also.

Helps to have a sunny day for this trip. We had rain all day but the trip was still very nice. Also tour is done in English, Spanish and German at the same time. Hard to take.

Tour was good. Bad instructions regarding pick up from hotel and meeting place adress as altarnative. Bus does not have any Viator sign. We almost mist the bus.

Weather was cold and rainy and that kept us cooped up inside during the Danube river cruise. Abbey was nice. But, group was too large. Would have enjoyed it better in a smaller group.

Disappointing compared to other tours we've taken. Pros: The scenery along the Danube was terrific and the Melk Abbey tour was excellent. Cons: Our tour bus included people with 3 languages so our guide was constantly switching between the 3. It was confusing, we probably didn't get all the information usually provided, and the guide was hoarse 1/2 way through trip. In addition, the Danube River boat was badly overbooked with multiple tour groups. Our bus was late getting to the dock area so there were no seats left and even standing room was packed tightly. We stood for the entire 1 1/2 hour trip up the river. At least the day was sunny and cool, and the scenery great.

The Danube Valley is a must see if you are interested in wine, castles and monestries. However the boat cruise was ordinary. Every one was pushing to get a table as we boarded the boat, staff on the boat were disorganised and rude when serving customers. I took 25 min to get a simple coffee. If the upstairs coffee shop was open it probably would have solved the problem. The tour guide was great and informative of the area how ever he was not able to guide us on the boat and I had no Idea what we were cruising past.

The wine tasting and info provided was excellent. Unfortunately it was a rainy windy day which took away from total enjoyment and the pace that was set was a bit too strenuous for us.

Not impressed with Viator - we received an incorrect e mail regarding pick up arrangements which meant the expense of calling Austria and caused a lot of stress
