Doing what:

We saw everything we were hoping to see. Our Tour guide was interesting and informative. If there was a complaint it would be walking too fast.

Doing what:

This was a great tour and well worth the price. We had a very knowledgable tour guide who infused a lot of history into the tour. The only complaints would be that the air conditioning was not working well on the bus and it was a very hot evening and made it very uncomfortable - it was on high but still not cool enough and it was difficult to hear the guide while the air/fan was on.

Doing what:

The tour started 30 minutes late becasue of a late arriving bus and promises that they were dividing the group on to three busses to give us a more indivdualized tour. When the bus arrive, 30 minutes late, it was already half full with others, so we ended up on a completely full bus as opposed to a half full bus which is what the others divided out on to two other busses end up with. (and they left on time!)

Luckily we had an awesome tour leader. Kevin was amazing, his knowledge and passion about the sites made what would have been a disappointing tour totally awesome. The tour went an hour longer than scheduled (becasue of a late start and one unreasonable tourist on the bus). Kevin again made the difference. He knew he could be in trouble becasue of being late, but he handled this ungrateful visitor with grace and really made a difference on this tour.

If Kevin had a scolding at the end of the night someone needs to appoligize to him. He is the only reason that this tour did not receive one star.

Doing what:

There was some confusion with the bus at first so our tour got going late so things were a bit rushed by the end, otherwise it was a great tour! It is a wonderful way to see the monuments and Kevin was wonderful!

Doing what: Washington DC Capital Sites Bike Tour

Good way to see DC in a couple of hours. Easy ride, great bikes, informative guide.

3 star rating: Worth doing Review by Glenn S, April 2013
Doing what:

The tour started late and we were not sure even if we would have a bus for us. We showed up at 710 PM for the 730 PM tour and the tour bus showed up at 745 to 750PM and we left about 10 minutes after that. The bus was very crowded. There is a good amount of walking and they take you to a good amount of sites and I would have rated higher if we didn't have to wait so long. We had a wonderful guide.

More time is needed for people using a wheel chair at sites. Driver and guide was extreemly helpful but at FDR and MLK jr need more time -- only enough time to do one site.

Doing what:

Little confused by what we skipped due to the rainy/snow conditions. After the Lincoln Memorial our guide asked if we cared we didn't tour the Korean War memorial due to weather, might be too dangerous. Having never been there we assumed there would be many more granite steps than Lincoln making it slippery. Much to our surprise when we visited Korean during day, we saw it would not have been dangerous. This was disappointing as we had heard the Korean memorial is beautiful at night, wished we had could have seen it at night. We did hurry through several others that night due to weather and our guide would skip some info as some had taken day time tour, she didn't want to repeat info for them. Hasn't DC ever had sno or rain before? Lastly, our guide was a little too opinionated at times-if we wanted opinions we could have watched tv. Lastly, our driver was not so pleasant when we were supposed to be taken back to our hotel. We did go with somebody else as he was pretty grumpy about us asking. For our tour on that date, we feel we did not get our money's worth. In fact we avoided booking a day time tour the next day with this company because of the night tour.

Doing what:

I really love going on night tours. This was the second time I went on a night tour of D.C. and it palled in comparison to the first tour that I took. Both this tour and my first tour had the same number of stops, but this trip we were hurried and even though I had been to these places before I felt that there was not enough time to enjoy the monuments and statutes.

It was cold, so plastic windows were down, causing poor visibility of incredible national sites at night. plastic was scratched, old... causing distorted, unenjoyable visibility

Doing what:

Great idea but poorly executed. The tour guide walked way too fast so many of the guests could not keep up. Plus the guide left my mother and I behind at the MLK Jr memorial. We missed the last part of the tour and I had to find a taxi to get back. Completely ridiculous.

Doing what:

The guide spoke quickly and I felt that he did not give us a really good tour. He rattled off information on the bus and often did not accompany us to the monuments themselves. I don't know if the text is prepared in advance by someone else but I would have preferred something more ....I don't know ...more than dates and names of people who did this and who did that. Sometimes there was no context for it.
As for the organization, it took too long to get started.

Doing what:

It was a perfect night to take photos of the sights in DC but very, very cold. For this reason I could not understand why the guide chose to talk to us about the sights outside-why not on the bus??? We had to rush past the White House and I barely had time to take a photo there but had ample time for some other places. I feel it could have been better prepared.

Doing what:

Our guide was very talkative and pleasant, we are glad we got to meet him. However, for the price we paid and the time we spent and the expectations we had, it is reasonable to hope for a real historian who get facts, names, dates, and pronunciation correct (Congress is in "session" not "section", one of many and word choice pronunciation errors).

Doing what:

We were very unhappy with this tour. Our guide was not very good and we were on a very large bus. A woman fell on our trip and if some of us hadn't been there to take care of her she would have been left lying on the ground. With such a large group that should have been two people one at the front of the group and one at the rear. At the end of the tour which departed late and ended very late we were told that someone would be waiting to assure that we had direction and help getting cabs. We are seasoned travelers so it wasn't a problem for us but it was for some of the guests who we helped to find transportation.

My mistake I thought Viator was taking us on the tour. I didn't realize that they just hook you up to a tour company. Next time I will do much more research and find a small private company or do a private tour.

On the positive side, we did see all the monuments lit up at night plus many other stops. However I would not use your services again!!!!!!!
