Good choice for first time visitor. One day trip is probably a bit short but for some the two day option might have redundancies. It is worth the low cost upgrade. For seasoned travellers or longer stays try the Metro Smartrip pass. It is the way to go in DC.

It think it is an excellent way to tour Washington D.C. in a short time. We enjoyed the rides, the interesting informtion provided while on the troley and the fact that we could walk, take pictures and enjoy the different sites. I would recommend the two day tour but for us it worked just fine the one day tour. Great job!!!!

Our tour was absolutely fantastic. The operators were very interesting and lively with their descriptions of Washington and who contributed to the history of our country.
We were unable to take the trolley to Georgetown or Arlington cemetery because we just did not have the time to do so. But the whole circuit seemed comprehensive of the whole D.C. scene. We appreciated the fact that the trolleys were punctual; we never had to wait long for one. The stops were also near the sites. All in all we would recommend this tour to anyone who wants something original.

The was a good way to get from place to place. It was a little confusing because we thought we were looking for a trolley called the Washington DC hop on hop off, when in fact it was the old town trolley. The trolley was not that crowded but we went in September. The seats were not very comfortable and i kept sliding to the front of the seat. also, it is difficult to hear if you sit in the front of the trolley, in the back it was no problem. the information on the trolley was terrific and all in all it was a convenient way to get through the city!

If you want picking up from your hotel listed on the website timetable, you need to phone to check they are actually coming by. Once you have your pass, it was fun!

Trolley Service must not have expected a lot of tourists..They needed to add another couple of trolleys on line. Waits to get on trolley went nearly an hour in some places.

We (7 of us) had some issues. We tried to board 3 trolleys but they had no room for our party. Our parking garage was near the holocaust museum and we were trying to borad at that stop. After another two trolleys we decided to just walk to other museums as we were there over 90 minutes and wasting away the day with the children getting fussy. They just wouldn't board part of the party. The trolley seems like a good idea but it just didn't work for us. I sent an email on the 23rd of September applying for a refund but I just talked with one of your representatives (Linda) and it was lost so she's starting that process again today the 28th of Sept
