Well organized tour and friendly crew. A relaxing cruise on the river and a very enjoyable visit to our first President's home.

Doing what: Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria Half-Day Trip from Washington DC
You really need to see Mount Vernon while you are visiting DC. Both the house and surrounding property give you a feel for what it was like to live like George Washington did. It's a nice relaxing change to leave the city and visit some parts of Virginia. Driving by Old Town Alexandria and visiting Christ Church was also a great addition to touring Mount Vernon! I would recommend this tour with Viator!

Doing what: In the Footsteps of George Washington: Day Cruise to Mount Vernon
One of the best trips we have done in a long time. Absolutely brilliant. The only thing is when you arrive at the place to walk up to the house, there is a little bus that will take you up for free. I strongly recommennd using this, anyone can, it meets the boat and as I said it is completely free. The walk up in the mid day heat, slighly uphill can be a bit much.
So get the bus, the boat cruise is just fantastic, smooth, beautiful scenery, fresh warm breeze, excellent staff. You arrive, get the little bus up to the Home of George Washington, staff here better than you could get anywhere, so helpful, friendly. See a little video, short, in all airconditioned, go on a guided tour of house, all aircondition also. Very informative. Grounds brilliant, little shop etc. and back to the boat for 1.30pm and I think we were back where we boarded at 3pm ish. It was a brilliant day and I would highly recommdend this trip. Enjoy.!

Doing what:
Really great and funny tour guide, and a great tour that packed in some places outside of the main DC area while seeing some of the more famous memorials.

This tour was fantastic. From the boat ride to Mt. Vernon to the tour of the home and grounds, and the guides. Great! I give it 5 stars

The cruise was great and we loved the tour of Mount Vernon. My friend and I just wished we had even more time to spend visiting the museum. We had a delicious lunch there also:)

Doing what:
Our group enjoyed the tour very much. The driver/narrator was great. He talked clearly, was to the point and did not inundate us with information!

Doing what: In the Footsteps of George Washington: Day Cruise to Mount Vernon
I found the staff of the tour company to be really helpful. The boat was clean and in good repair. You get enough time to have a look around, eat and buy souveniers. Overall it was a good tour.

Doing what:
Excellent and our coach driver really went out of her way to give us a good time. Unfortunately, we had a lengthy delay and did not get to Washington in time to go on the Saturday, however, the tour company were very understanding and rescheduled our trip for the following day. Well recommended

Doing what:
Our bus driver, Cheryl, was awesome...sooooo smart and well-versed in the history of the area we visited, the day was amazing! Our boys, 11 and 9 years old enjoyed every minute and never complained. Bus was air conditioned...that was great! We saw and learned so many things about Washington, Mt. Vernon, and Alexandria. It was one of our favorite days on the trip!!!

I wondered when we booked if this was too long to spend but could easily have spent longer here. A grea tour - loved the cruise as a start and finish to the day and Mt Vernon did not dissapoint.
