Guide, driver and tour were great. Very disappointed we didn;t "hop off" at the Jefferson Memorial as advertised.
Picked the worst day to use the trolley with much traffic. The stars are for the drivers whom were amiable and knowledgeable.
While the route encompassed the right spots, the wait for the trolley was longer than anticipated. While there were extenuating circumstance, there was a parade on the day we went, still did not expect the waiting time.
We waited for the trolley for over an hour two different times during the course of a seven hour day. That was not okay.
FANTASTIC-Our first driver was GREAT, sorry I have forgotten his name but he picked us up
between 11 and 12 that morning, but both drivers were very informative and friendly! I have already recommended your services.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the various sites and very friendly. The only thing I would like to see done differently is the addition of the Jefferson memorial
Trip started off a little confusing by not having the buses ready for us and leaving an hour late, but ended well with over and beyond service.
This is a very good orientation tour. I thought we would only stop for photos, but we actually had time to visit the WWII, Jefferson, Vietnam Veterans, Lincoln, Korean and Iwo Jima Memorials. While we only toured the exteriors of the Capitol, White House and Washington Monument, our tour guide, Brian, provided interesting information at every stop. We also liked the cruise and lunch on the Potomac. We were very pleased with this tour.
Tour route was quite OK, and the guide was very friendly and polite. However, the bus was veryy old and noisy. The people like us who sat at the rear end of the bus could not clearly hear the guide. The tour guide did very little explanation when we are on the bus and on foot. However, He answered the questions directed to him.
Tour Guide seemed overworked. Did not let us out of the bus at the Marines Memorial (Iwo Jima) because it was too cold in his opinion. Let me and my family make the choice! Rushed entire group through the vietnam memorial when other tour guides were talking to their groups. Will find another tour company if we take another night tour.
Things didn't start well. We were short a guide. Started about 45 mins. late. We were offerred a refund or reschedule but we were agroup of nine and stuck it out. The driver was very informative and entertaining. I would give these guys another try.
Tour was off schedule and extremely late, we were riding the Metro and barely caught the last train for the evening.
Tour guide explanations were difficult to follow and was not sensitive to the President. He is "President Obama" and NOT "Obama". Poor representation in front of young school children.
Tour guide was also unsensitive to the Japanese visitors on our tour.
I was dubious at first as the bus hadn't left by 10.15 and the bus had several broken seats so people were switching around a lot. However once we were up an running, it was a great tour!
Our driver Mr Jones was very good at navigating the streets and tight turns and our guide Dion was very knowledgeable and professional.
We went to all the sights you would want to see in one day and were given info about each building/memorial before getting there. We also learnt lots about the city and its history along the way.
The boat cruise was probably my least favourite, although it was nice to sit and relax for a while and the guided commentary was good - although you couldn't hear it if you were outside taking photos!
The optional $10 lunch for the boat was really good - you could get a salad or a sandwich or a wrap (and they had a lot of choices even though i was near the back of the line) as well as crisps, a cookie and a cold drink.
I think we had just enough time for an avid photographer such as myself to race around each of the monuments snapping away.
The three drivers we had were knowledgeable and funny. There were not enough seats available on the trolley stop at the Lincoln Memorial.
