Picked the worst day to use the trolley with much traffic. The stars are for the drivers whom were amiable and knowledgeable.
While the route encompassed the right spots, the wait for the trolley was longer than anticipated. While there were extenuating circumstance, there was a parade on the day we went, still did not expect the waiting time.
We waited for the trolley for over an hour two different times during the course of a seven hour day. That was not okay.
FANTASTIC-Our first driver was GREAT, sorry I have forgotten his name but he picked us up
between 11 and 12 that morning, but both drivers were very informative and friendly! I have already recommended your services.
This was a really good tour once it got started with an informative guide and a fours us driver. However the meeting point isn't clear in the sense once you get to the Old Post Office there isn't anything or anyone there to tell you where to go until just when the tour starts.
Still it was a good afternoon and well worth doing.
An absolutely wonderful day, with Tony the bus driver being both informative and entertaining. This is a must for anyone with only a couple of days in DC.
Had read about how good Bob was on this tour and everything written is true. He made this day more than we could imagine. Mt Vernon is a must and Arlington also. So glad we got to do this tour and see a lot of Washington and the area.
The three drivers we had were knowledgeable and funny. There were not enough seats available on the trolley stop at the Lincoln Memorial.
Great trip that covered all the major sites. Some of the drop off points were quite a walk from the major attractions and unfortunately the wether wasn't good so we didn't end up hopping off very much! The drivers were very informative, but some of the trolleys were in need of repair and the windows wouldn't shut and we ended up very cold and wet!
My first tour guide / bus driver was not very informative. She drove very fast and made ridiculous jokes. She kept ringing the bell when no one laughed; this gave me a headache. I was very relieved by the second driver who was very informative. I felt misinformed by the clerk at the ticket stand when I was checking in; he said the trolley would stop at each site for a few minutes, allowing for pictures then I could determine if I wanted to stay or go. Overall it was not bad but to get the most out of it you need to start pretty early in the day, as well as get good informative drivers.
This was a wonderful way to get around the downtown DC area. I was traveling alone and did not have a car, so I greatly appreciated the transportation and the ongoing information shared by the drivers. After two days of using the trolley, I had learned lots--thanks!
The bus driver (Cheryl) was not only an excellent driver, very knowledgeable on George Washington and the entire area around old town Alexandria, and was very entertaining. The tour was well worth the affordable price and was very enlightening and enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to see Mount Vernon or Alexandria.
Enter your review here. The trip was great, the bus driver was hilarious. Could have spent more time at Mt. Vernon. Main problem was getting in contact once we reached D.C. The phone number listed in the voucher is incorrect, some of the numbers were changed around. Then locating the terminal once at Union Station was quite a a challenge as we were directed in a few different paths before we got to the correct location.
