Recently stayed for 4-nights in late November 2011 during the opening of the new skiing/winter season and found the hotel to be exceptionalproperty and experience. Room had 2 Queen Beds and all the amenities expected and this was just a basic booking. Everyone connected with the hotel we encountered at all levels could not have been more pleasant and accomodating to our questions and requests, and we were clearly not the only ones. Found the room service impeccable and efficient, the touches to detail in everything from the customer-friendly and warm lounge areas, to the dining areas, shops, spa, all top-notch in so many ways. Cannot recall a recent hotel stay where we were truly and genuinely treated like and quot;royalty and quot;, and yet just everyday working and quot;commoners and quot; seeking some fun in a winter wonderland. The location of th hotel to Whistler Village is an easy 10 minute walk, and the hotel provide complimentary shuttle service to 3 different locations throughout Whistler so getting around was a snap. Whistler itself is amply represented by many different hotel chains - both large and small (many of whom we are familiar with), and during the winter months, while all things and quot;winter and quot; take center stage, the efficiency, hospitality and warmth of the employees at the Fairmont Chateau in Whistler not only was outstanding it was simply an and quot;experience and quot; in so many ways.
